Meg, even your YARD SALE IS STYLISH! Great Chaplin!

  • Michelle* wrote on July 22, 2:22 pm

This is my favorite opening so far! Tied with the graffiti one. I love it.

  • aymelovestrees wrote on July 22, 3:18 pm

Meg, I just came home to Mom's house to help her with a massive garage sale. You are spot on my needs again! Thanks for the great advice. A midwest tip: folks that are regular garage sale shoppers always check the local paper for announcements. These ads are super cheap and super effective.

The Charlie Chaplin bit is truly inspired! I love it. And what wonderful clothing racks you have :>)

  • fawndolyn (guest) wrote on July 23, 1:36 pm

Can apartment-renters have yard sales, too?
Also, I say get a bunch of friends together at one house, and have a group sale. They are mad fun :)

  • Vyrien wrote on July 23, 4:44 pm

^^^Exactly what I was wondering about for those of us with no yard/garage!
Except I'm in an area I'm fairly new to and kind of am without friends with houses, too...

  • Meg wrote on July 23, 6:38 pm

I rent and just set up our yard sale on the sidewalk in front of our apartment complex. So, really, you don't need a yard at all. Just a few feet of sidewalk action and you're golden!

  • Vyrien wrote on July 29, 10:37 pm

Oh, so I just need to check with management about it! Awesome!
    Thanks for the info! ;)

  • MLRE8 wrote on July 24, 11:42 pm

I can add one thing to your list - make sure you don't have it during a heat wave. No traffic = No sales, trust me, I know =(

  • Meg wrote on July 27, 11:03 pm

SO TRUE. We were pretty close to passing out by 5pm. We were pretty crashed out that night.
Hydrate and stay in the shade!

  • misssewthernbelle wrote on July 26, 9:07 am

Great show Charlie! Course at the end of the day, I have to wonder how much of your old clothes did you want to keep because you realized a second use?

  • rachelrossner wrote on July 27, 12:28 pm

Hi- it's Peach!! loved the show!!! Post It's really can be your best friend!!! xoxo Yard sales are the bomb!!! I buy lots of things from yard sales for the fabric - like buying a coat and using the fabric for pillow. Great tip! Can't wait to see what's next week.

  • ~!GoodGirlGoneRad!~ wrote on July 30, 6:43 pm

how do you make those super rad heart jewelry holders

  • Lori (guest) wrote on August 11, 1:32 am

I LOVED your suggestions on the yard sale! I'd like to know where I should look for the clothes hanging racks? I'm going to have a yard sale and have some clothes that need hanging. Or is there another way to display clothes at a yard sale without hanging them? Please help!

    Thanks! ~Lori , in Florida
