Clean Your Closet, Decor It Yourself

What I have is two short rubbermaid rolling draw cabinets stacked on top of one another with undies, socks, shorts, jeans, pants, accessories, bathing suits, PJ's and jewelry in a old lunch kit on top. Beside it I have a canvas shelf thing that hangs from the bar to house all my t-shirts in colour or type order (it changes weekly). Lastly I have a clear large rubbermaid box to keep all my out of season stuff, like tanks and other stuff. Woot for some what organized closets

Chain and s-hooks can be used to store accessories.  This is great hanging from the bar in the closet.  I used old chain from a broken hanging lamp and s-hooks were made from colorful wire I bought from the hardware store odds and ends bin.

Cool. Really wish I could keep my stuff organised for more than 5 minutes.

this is such help for me.. but im still in need of help with all the stuf animals and bags/purses  i have. how can i stored them or display them?

my parents wont let me put up any hooks in my closet because of the need for screws any way to get around that?

And while it's ain't perfect...my closet is organized.  Those contact paper cubbies was a great idea that I can actually do!  Yay! and the doorknobs as hooks idea may solve my curtain deliemma...thanks Meg!

I love having a clean closet.  I can store my toys and hide there when I have eaten the garbage.  Thank you Meg, for helping my mom with her organizationally challenged self.

Its like you knew my closet was falling out of itself.  I do have to say, the boxes into cubbies is brilliant and so so easy!!  also, I found a good tip when doing closet clean out.. when you are putting it back in, take out 2 or 3 items from each of your piles and donate or make them into something else!!  I am a bit of a pack rat, and trimming my crap in small amounts more frequently seems less daunting then all at once.  I LOVE DIY!!!

so may great ideas...where to begin? the doorknobs are clutch. nice one.

HEY thanks for the mention! another idea for organization is taking an old shudder and paint it white put hangers/ hooks and then hang it up and fill it with cards or pictures. I have one its so cool because when you get a card just put it in one of the slots and share it with everyone!

i have another closet dilemma. i dont have one. i have these two horrible zip up canvas things and they are on the outside of my door which is sooo inconveniant. i do have a closet kind of its reallllly small and it only has one rack thats like 5 ft long or less. any suggestions?

I love your great ideas....  changing out knobs on anything makes for an interesting conversation piece!  Now, if I could only make my closet bigger...

Unfortunately i have no more room even for organizers, since my closet (ignore the fact that my floor is another matter) is fully organized, including pizza boxes (unused) filled with old grade school papers and art. Remember some other ways to freshen up those places would be just putting a bar of soap in a drawer or a clove covered orange!
