I too am a fan of Lowes. It is a terrific place to pick up all the odds and ends needed to finish a project-I appreciate the color choices in spray paint, the fact that they stock all those little original items that scrapbook companies have recreated as embellishments in order to up the price and hundreds of other things. Yeah Meg for appreciating a place without needing finacial incentive to do so! An a super Yeah for the veggie dogs, burgers and veggies! We have been gathering a group over to cook out each week showing the joys of vegetarian grilling. With organic herbs from the garden no one is missing the meat. Be sure to try the joys of quesidilla grilling.

Wow, if Lowe's isn't a sponsor, they sure got a huge non-paid shout out from Threadbanger. I'm glad to see that a big box store like Lowe's is making green products more available, but are they also doing other things, like in-store recycling, using bio-diesel shipping trucks, educating employees on the environment, etc? Honestly, I'm just wondering that's why I wanted a link to their green policies. Either way, I still love Threadbanger.

I'm ambivalent about Threadbanger taking big sponsors like Lowe's. However, I don't judge about it, because I trust the producers' judgement. I didn't know that Lowe's "went green" but I don't know what that really means. Meg, do you have any links to their green policies? At any rate, it was a great episode and it left me wishing I had a place to grill. Alas, I don't. I love Threadbanger and I've been watching for over a year. Keep up the good work!

Wow, Threadbanger is really branching out! I totally did not expect to get so engrossed this morning in a cute father's day grilling video. Bravo, Threadbanger and DIY Meg for making fun episodes every week that cover EVERY base. Looking forward to seeing what next week holds! All that grilling made me hungry!

Yeah Coach! Nice shout out! I loved the episode! My friends and I have been grilling out as much as possible since the weather has been good. It is so easy to do and is pretty low maitenance which is great. Nothing like a great bbq. ps- love the dress and shoe combo ( barrett was that you?) xoxo

Loved the episode! Another great tip is to clean the grill off using a lemon/lime to scrub off the leftovers. It works well (you can even get some scrubbing done) and gives the food a great hint of lemony goodness .

yay I love summer cause I just love grilling, grilling chicken, fish, burgers, veggies from the garden...the works. on a side note I can honestly say I have never seen anyone like you wearing a pretty dress in my local lowes

Rachel, I know, I was surprised. I definitely always say 'DIY before you buy', but think we should applaud the big businesses that are changing their habits and evolving to become more earth-friendly.

I really like the grilling tips, but telling us to go out and buy new power tools seems a little out of the Threadbanger spirit! There's so many people getting rid of stuff that works just fine- why would you need to buy anything new? You can find almost everything used on Craigslist, at yard sales, or on eBay. It's a little more work, but it's nice to take yourself out of the consumption stream at least a bit...

I would love you to tackle remotes! These are taking over my front room and with 4 wee ones I am always taking them away..... to where?? A recycle is in order, a wall mounted or side of a shelf way of dealing with these with out lining them up on the shelf as if they are art! With out spending!?!? They have to be up out of the way though! Thanks~! I will be watching. (*^_^*)

Awesome episdoe Meg. My Dad also does a ton of BBQing which means almost every father's day we end up giving him BBQ tools, so that department is covered. He definietely doesn't need any more power tools (we had to build a second shed for our camping gear so he can keep more tools). Hopefully I can think of something by the weekend, if i can't i'll still have till thursday on his birthday to give him stuff.
