Can we please have a tutorial on the Hippo and Tree pillows? I think those would look so good on my best friends bed and I know they would make a killer gift.

This probably has nothing to do with the episode but I just adore the hippo plush at 00:21 sec. Do you mind if I ask where you got it? Or if you made it, could you do a tutorial?

Tips for stuffing pillows...If you use batting as an inner liner, then stuff your pillow between the layers of batting, you can avoid a lumpy looking pillow. Also, it's best to stuff them more than you think is necessary because the stuffing will settle and look a little deflated if you don't put enough inside. Side note: I LOVE pillows for mixing things up, but I don't have a lot of room. So after I made a few pillows, I opted for pillow covers to change the look. Saves on space and still keeps my design ADD in check! Thanks for the awesome episode!

I'm intrigued that you went through all the work of hand sewing the flower, then machine sewed the closing on the pillow. It easily takes about two minutes and looks a lot better to hand sew. Why choose the less attractive version? You're clearly not afraid to hand sew, and your obviously good at it (or will be at the end of this project). I'm just saying. Cute pillow anyway.

Also, for the comment about painting, if you mask properly, you won't get paint where it doesn't belong. The more you prep the room the better it will look and the less mistakes you will have to go back and fix. And, when buying white paint for touchup, be sure it is the same white. There are countless variations of white and off-white that will clash with whatever is on your trim. Some apartment complexes will let you borrow the standard paint they use, so you might check into that to possibly avoid paying for white paint and to be sure it's an exact match. Tools to have before starting: paint roller, painting pole, paint pan, paint (duh) :), paint brush (you will need this for corners and edges), paint stirer, dropcloth (or a ton of newspaper), painter's suit (if you don't have any clothes that you don't mind getting paint on), masking tape. Most people now-days skip the brush because they think the roller will do everything. The roller will have trouble in corners and by the ceiling and baseboard. So, use the roller as far as you can into the corner (unless you want 1 wall to be a different color) and go almost to the top and bottom of the wall and window trim making sure not to touch anything that is not supposed to be painted. Then finish up with the brush. Also, I seem to remember another episode that had tips on painting. Cant remember which one, but it showed taking off the recepticle covers before painting, which I encourage. But, when painting the recepticle itself was painted. Painting a recepticle will make it look really bad really fast. Not to mention, you will be putting something wet into an electrical outlet. The results could be shocking. So, if you think you might mess up and put paint into your electrical system and end up a smoking pile of dust or just have a power failure and have to call the super to flip the breaker or replace the fuse (which will not be a happy event either), then put some masking tape over the top of the recepticle, making sure you don't grab it by the sides and have a hair raising experience from masking.

Definitely. I am totally going to make some bags and add a huge one to the bottom of a skirt and add a few to the bottom of curtains...the options are endless!
