im a total mirror lover and the idea of using cds is also great since they can be slightly colored on the reflected side sometime. i also think attaching colored transparent plastic to the mirrors can bring it even a step further.
i would love it if you could do more shows on the 30's 40's and 50's! i really want my house to be an eclectic mix of vintage and indie style. most of your projects reflect that which i really love but im really focusing on my kitchen now. help?
my room looks like it belongs to a four or six year old before I try to paint it can you give me tips to make my room look more peaceful calm welcoming room
Hey Meg, it's Allison. I'm the person who submitted the project to Apartment Therapy. I'm so honored that you chose to make my mirror. Yours turned out amazing! Thanks for such a fun and informative tutorial.
Hi Meg & thanks a million for the Atomic starburst mirror project. Got so inspired and thought I got to make it for my living room, end result was amazing..it has made my living room more living :) . Have posted the project in my blog - http://sajism.blogspot.com/.. Keep posting more DIY projects.. You are doing an amazing work!!
I love 50´s. All my flat is in this style. I have some
sectoral furniture typical for Czech 50´s where I live. For example wooden cabinet with colours plastic drawers :)
That's awesome, I've been wanting to make one... my brothers broke the one I got from an antique store and I haven't been able to find another one, now I can make my own! Thanks Meg!
I was thinking of doing that too, but I don't know how I would change the battery if it was superglued to something in the back...

you can maybe cut a little circle in the cardboard on the back, on the place where the batteries are. so when you stuck it on there, you still can change the batteries?

I have some 70's era colors. Burnt oranges, mustards, warm browns. I love the shag carpet, sunset stretched canvases look.
i have a lot of mid century mod furniture...mostly because there was a lot available in thrift stores in florida. i really like old timey victorian style so i have incorporated that look a lot.
I want to make this SO badly!!! But there's no way my dad's going to let me put a nail in my wall... Everything in my room is taped on, ugh.
Can't wait to see pics of people who DO make them though!
the mirror is actually really light. you could use those hooks that you stick to the wall to hang it on. it would totally work.

Wow, that's actually a really beautiful project. Not that your other creations and tutorials aren't beautiful, Meg. This was just especially wonderful!
My sister would absolutely love for her little sister to make this for her. I just need to figure how to mail this or...............I'm just going to pay a visit and make it with her. Thanks !
I say visit your sister! I'll visit mine too. Maybe a mini one for her dorm room....
