Dorm Decor, "Bean" Bag Chair, Decor it Yourself

hi well i decided to make this bean bag chair from plastic bag fabric!! anytips?? (this is my first timeusing this fabric....)

Ow wow, when you showed both pieces of fabric on the floor cut out... it reminded me of a giant sanitary napkin! LOL. I never got the dorm room experience but I'm living in an apartment now! Sooner or later I will make some decals to put up.

this is great! i'm definitely gonna make one of these. it was good timing, too, my old chair is getting kind of icky looking. :D would you use just regular cottton fabric for the chair, or would you want to use something thicker? i also liked the bird decals, i'm going to watch that episode right now. keep up the great work!

where can i actually find good fabric? walmart joannes etc. all suck!!!! i dont know where to buy nice fabric.

I made a much smaller version for my 2 month old son. He loves to lounge in it during the day. I filled it with recycled grocery bags and fiber fill. He loves the crinkle noise

Plastic shopping bags are a great way to stuff your beanbags and recycle the bags!

Very cute fabric and a very nice size! That being said, we've been putting packing peanuts in our beanbags for a few years now. The only problem is that after a while the peanuts start to break up so you have to refill it with more peanuts a couple times a year. This is made much easier if you have an openning in the linning that is closed with velcro. Just a suggestion from my experience. ;)

I want to redesign all the linens in my bedroom now. Hope there's a sale at the fabric store!

im so heppy you guys did an ep on beanbags my little brother has been wanting one but there like 20.00 $ so i told him i'd make him one but i didnt know how i was going to do it until now and i never thought of putting packing peanuts in it good idea!

Hey I wonder if I take this and just shrink it like 95% I can make little bean bag balls for my cousins. That will be a great stalking stuffer around Christmas time. Thanks for the idea!!!

I really love the bean bag i found that if I put different stuff to fill it with makes it uncomfterable again awesome chair it's easy and you can make it even if you're not in college

Now I need to make a few beanbag chairs for when me and my friend move out in Oct.

So much infinitely better than the last "Back to School" episode. I can't wait to try this project as soon as I have time away from college. Might not fit in my dorm, but my room back at home could work. I hope to see more dorm/back to school stuff as good as this was.
