Vacation Shadow-box, Decor it Yourself

A simple but modern idea is to take sewing scraps, sew them together and place in a picture frame! Tada!

I love the shadow box! What a fun idea! Don't worry Meg, I'm getting snowed on too and I hate it! Blah to snow.

The dogs look so cute and snuggly:) It's fun to see all that snow!

YYYAAAAY, Thank you SO much for this Meg. I have had the supplies to make one of these in my closet literally for 3 years, but I kept forgetting, was not sure where to start, etc. Now I can't wait to do mine and send it in!

I've had an idea on shadowboxes too; I wanted to make one out of my class ring and graduation cap and gown, as well as the graduation papers. :D

I have small square glass vessels, I bought from ebay really cheap; when we get back from a location, I always bring momentous back and arrange them in a vessel.  The collection is starting to look way cool, and friends and family love to talk about our unique trinkets and how we gathered them.  We have one special vessel, just a little larger; we live at the beach, but everyday we do, we bring some cool rock back and add it to the Beach glass...we love remembering each trip and giving it special significance!Our family loves to add their own special finds and encourages friends and visitors to also take part in donating their beach find into the special beach glass, it evokes many stories and loads of laughs!!!! ...not to mention it looks awesome in my living room!

We live at the beach in California, and one favorite collectable is a tiny glass jar of sand and beach bits.  It would look so cute in a shadow box.

This is a cool idea! I'm planning on going on vacation next month and was thinking of scrap-booking our experiences, but I like this more, and I'll keep this episode in mind for when we get back. Thanks, Meg!

Ahhh, that first bit has been me the last two weeks... so ready for spring.

Lovely, simple episode! I like the shadowbox idea a lot actually, but I'm not much of a beach gal so I'd have to think of another theme. Autumn woodiness, maybe? Or something Victorian or 1920s-themed since I seem to be into those two eras at the moment.

i like to cut out diffrent pictures of me and my boyfriend from  prom and get a really big picture frame from the dallor store... there cheaper that way. u can use any picture family friends...makes a great gift for any day celibrations. u can also just cut out pictures from magazines like your hollywood crush ;D you can either glue or place the pic's where u want them.... just contact me for for more info.

YAY meg is back! I have a log cabin quilt that I free motion quilted, (it kinda reminds me of coral) that I have hung up in the bath room, and one day I will make a shell wreath with all the shells (my kids have filled a gallon sized zip lock full of them) to hang on the wall. I like the shadow box idea, next time we head out I'll keep my eyes peeled for things to add to one! thanks for your always creative ideas!
