I used the dimensions shown in the video, but I came away with a shed instead of  a birdhouse. Did you mean  _ " _ for inch, instead of the _ ' _ which is shorthand for  foot? This reminds me of that "Stone Hedge" moment in Spinal Tap. ;-P

I'm still undecided on where I stand with birdfeeding... I've been hearing that it can be bad because the birds will become dependant on humans for food and be unable to forage on their own. But on the other hand, I know that a lot of birds don't survive the winter because they're unable to find amble food in an urban environment. So tricky!! Until I research this further, I'm not putting out a feeder (which would be a known and consistant food source) but in the colder months will be putting out temporary feeders (pinecone smeared in peanut butter rolled in birdseed hung from a branch) in irregular places so that they don't come to depend on me and can still feed themselves... but I don't know!

I mean, it would be nice to see more crows (I love crows. So intelligent!).

Meg, could you do a table tutorial? My boyfriend and I need a new dining room table, he wants to buy new but I want to reuse! but I need an idea quick!

My soon to be sister in law has out grown her parent's nest and is flying off to a tiny little dorm room. I'd love to make her something to help her keep the new, much smaller, space organized. Help? I don't I could troll the interwebs and I probably still will but I figure there'd be others that might like to see some DDIY (Dorm Decor It Yourself.) Cheesy, I know. Anyway, love the show. Thanks!

Try not to put perches on the outside of your birdhouses to prevent other predator birds from perching and eating your eggs. Right now I have two pigeon friends (they’re monogamous btw) that come to my balcony every morning. After a few weeks they now eat from my hand and even try to hop into my room. I'm constantly reminding them not to come inside. My boyfriend and I named them after they made a nest in the corner of my balcony. One was all gun metal grey and my boyfriend named him Robotron 5(it was the name he wanted to give to our first son). I got to name the female Angel, thought it was a good balance and she has white feathers underneath. Unfortunately one day sometime in the night something snatched their only egg. She stared at it very strangely the next day and even sat on the nest, they have since abandoned the nest, but still sit on our balcony all day. They have such big personalities I would have never realized. 
Oh and if you want to find out which one is male and which is female, look out for when they have a nest, and watch for which one stays on the egg during the day, it says a lot!

Anyways enough of me blabbing on like an excited parent of 2pigeons!
