DIY Coaster How-To
In today's holiday special, you saw several gift & decor ideas. Here is the step-by-step how-to on recycled coasters.
First, cut circles out of your scraps of fabric that have a diameter of 5 inches.
Place your circles on top of the second fabric good sides together and pin.
Cut out your pinned circles.
Bring the pinned and cut circles over to your sewing machine and sew the perimeter leaving a 3" opening.
Flip the circles right-side out, and pin the opening closed.
Pre-heat your trusty iron, and iron the coasters to create clean, crisp lines.
Bring the ironed coasters over to the machine and sew a topstitch along the circle's edge.
Put together a fun mix-matched or a uniform set of six coasters. Tie a recycled ribbon around them and....voila! You have a nice holiday gift for friends or family.
