That was impressive! I wouldn't need a bag like that but I know some people who would love that as a gift! If you did it in white or ivory it could be for a bride. Guys you should get camo fabric, glue on tons of plastic army men and have a shorter chain! XD

that was cool! well done. even just the bit about putting a zip in a lined bag was an eye opener for me.  in a different size, without the flowers, with another kind of strap would be good for guys as well.

I love it!  My brain is going crazy with thinking of the many different variations of your project.  I would use petals from faux flowers found at a thrift shop instead of cutting my own, and possibly use multi color beads for a more summer look.  Oooh, and pockets!  I could put pockets in it too!!!   Thanks so much for posting this tut!

Great tutorial as I was looking for something like this recently to make as I have one too many weddings to go to and not enough money.

I do have a suggestion or a recommendation if that is okay for you? I know you are girlie and hey, that is awesome, but can you do some non-girlie fun tutorials? Maybe make something for a guy friend that we can all work on. Although I probably can turn some of your tutorials into non-girlie items, I am bad at that and hope you can teach us something awesome.

This is SUCH a cute bag, I really love your style, and your videos are fantastic. I love how your videos make these AMAZING results but are simple enough for you people who aren't that based in DIY fashion *GUYSLIKEME* to really get where youre going and give them the ability to make cool stuff for their family, girlfriends or friends.

That being said, I found this VERY helpful, my sister would love something like this (she's been bugging me about buying her a purse lol!!!)  but I do have a few questions. How would I put different compartments in the bag? I had an idea that it would be AWESOME if my sister had different pockets for her makeup- cellphone- and other things so they all wouldn't be mushed together.

Whether she's fake or not, there are so many people out in the world who could really use this tutorial. Threadbanger was meant to teach people how to make things by themselves, and BioNerd is doing just that. Does her life outside of her tutorials really change the helpfulness of her tutorials? What good does bringing up her life outside of this tutorial do for anyone?

I absolutely love this bag, and the techniques shown in this video (how to make a clutch, how to make flowers) are useful for countless other projects...not just a purse that is "following the trend." It could be customized in many ways!

I remember in your blog you completely insulted TB, saying it's a place for a bunch of old ladies. And then you said that you wanted to be completely unique and special not like TB, or some other crafting sites. you used to have a lot of videos up but you deleted most of them because you were SO fake in all of them, and people told you that. Now you're less fake, and different form your old videos (proving that you were trying so hard ot be cute before) but of course you're still fake.

What you said in your youtube video about TB is complete crap. I follow you for your tuts, but not because of your personality. You're really fake and on your blog you say things like "oh I wish JoAnne fabrics would sponsor me i'm giving them business" or something. The thing is, other youtubers get sponsors because the sponsors find them. You're actually begging for sponsors. How sad is that? For your videos, just show your skill, don't be fake. People will like you because you work hard and have skills, not because you appear to be all nice and sweet. Cause all that nice and sweetness that you claim to be is so fake.

I don't know why, but this reminds me of Michelle Phan (the youtube makeup tutorial goddess) but for craft. Not a bad tut though. Very clear directions.

Wow you anti trend people are ridiculous. As long as I can remember Threadbanger has always had inspiration from other designers/styles/trends. Yeah there are some that are only on TB but seriously, this is cute and DIY and you can freaking make your own stuff if you want to. You don't need tutorials to show you how to make the same thing that everyone else watching threadbanger is going to make if you are so worried about your "own" trend. this is a great vid and an awesome purse!

what happened people threadbanger use to be a site for individuals that wanted to set them selves apart from the masses not too find tutorials on how to make a cheap knock off seriously you guys this is exactly the opposite of why I liked threadbanger not to mention it use to be a lot more gender neutral.

I subscribe to Secretlifeofabionerd on YouTube and I love all of her videos.  She's really creative and talented and I'm glad she's on Threadbanger Style to bring some awesome DIY goodness back to the world of Threadbanger.  And, guys, Threadbanger has posted tutorials following "trends" before. It's OK. Really, it is. And to be honest, I haven't seen any bags like this in my town, so I feel like it's not SUPER trendy. At least not in small towns like mine. And, hey, she's showing you how to make a zipper pouch and chiffon flowers.  You can use those techniques to make LOADS of other projects.

OK, enough rambling. Just feel the love for your fellow Threadhead, people.  (She HAS posted on the forums, so, YES, she's "one of us.")

ummm... okay, so i think it should be said that threadbanger has not always made trends. They do follow some trends. such as when threadbanger used to post celebrity fashion inspiration pictures on the blog, and corrine's tutorial on how to make the lace and zipper skirt, although amazing, was inspired by the fall 09 trends of the runway.

I love it!!! I think that idea rocks, and so aye she is showing you how to knock off designers but also turn them into your own trend, which i reckon is threadbanger! Good stitching tips too!  Cant wait to make one!

I dislike all the bad comments being left on this site. She Did it herself and made it for alot cheaper than the actual price. However, it was quite serious, perhaps she could watch some other videos on threadbanger like decor it yourself? Over all, quite well done. But you need to make trends - NOT follow them

i like it, she's actually making something.  Just because it came from someone elses idea doesnt make it bad... she modified it and made it her own.  plus it was pretty and cheap! =]

I'm really happy that she's at least making something here, but I still agree with the few comments that say this isn't really threadbanger. I mean, this is trendy and on the moment, but this isn't what I watched for two years. This isn't what I kept coming back for- I want to be me, not some barbie doll that a company made wearing the same purse that a barbie over there is wearing. Poor Threadbanger. I'll miss you.

DIY is do it yourself.  There is nothing wrong with it being girly (afterall so of us are and its time that it stop being a "crime" to be!!)   Secondly does it really matter that this is a knockoff!!  Who cares as long as it is done YOURSELF and you are able to do it cheaper and the way you want.  A project such as this can easily be created using thrifted items!!

impressive. pretty cool actually. i think the making of the flower is cool. those flowers can be useful for decorating lots of things.

much better then people trying to sell us on expensive crappy clothes... although on the other hand this isn't really threadbanger material, it's more following trends instead of creating them. Definetly could use more work...
