I am interested in art quilts and fabric dyeing!

tweti- you are in luck! soon we will be going to the mecca of things knitted and crocheted...troy, PA. home to the women who taught me how to knit and crochet, my aunt and gma. i am interested to learn to make flowers also. so that will be our lesson! thanks for the suggestion! btw, the only thing that matters is if you like it and it makes you happy but i understand what you need. try some patterns from http://www.burdastyle.com/
they have great open source patterns that are very attractive. plus, the women who started it are awesome. hope this helps.

ROCKIN' coverage of the Maker Faire! You really did it justice. So great meeting you guys too. Keep the inspiration coming...

I wish I lived in the States, just so I could go to makerfaire!

There was one person with swaporamarama who had such a cool style! She modelled too on the show bit. Long black hair shaved back at the front and just super cool.

      I need a sewing machine.

Wow...this looked like a blast, sorry I couldnt make it, I'll have to wait for the next one in California to come around. I am headed out to the big Star Wars Celebration 4 convention here in LA this weekend though, any tips on how to make a cool Star Wars costume for the 30th Anniversary out of DIY stuff? FYI, I like the GPS in the shoes, now Pimps will know exactly where their Ho's are at all times!!!

One of my favorite episodes, it's so cool to see all the innovation out there. I especially liked the rant by that woman at the end. She's got a lot of good points!

I miss the DIY-creation segment, though. I'm sure it'll be back next week :)
