Threadbanger is probably the only thing that keeps me sane nowadays. ever since i moved to some random small town in michigan from new york city its been sucky but i wake up in the morning everyday excited to go on threadbanger watch videos and get inspired. I dont really post comments ever but its 2008 so its time to change.
It kills me to know that my parents made me move to michigan when you guys are now in brooklyn!
My math teacher and i are planning on starting a sewing club in our highschool so i told her about your website. =] You guys seriously dont know how much of an amazing impact you have on the world and on me.
It saddens me that im not in new york anymore...i mean i was born in brooklyn and spent my whole life there...and now all i have is my memories and threadbanger to keep me from living in a strait jacket.

sorry for the long post...but i had to tell you guys. =]

CRAP! I broke another needle! I screwed up the bobbin, and I killed my project... onto the next project! lol, *me trying to stay positive* XD

    • Tony Quiroz wrote on January 15, 11:21 am

Good Luck Hope to hear more from you this coming year!

    • dearprudence793 wrote on January 14, 7:44 pm

Thats it, I failed sewing! The first darn time I tried, I broke the darn needle! Frick! So now my project is on a hold, and I feele like a loser. I know I'm not going to give up, but at this moment I feel like dog poo.... FRICK!

    • ladyjanewriter wrote on January 15, 11:15 am

Don't give up. :0) You should have seen the time I was sewing with my machine, busted a needle, and the tip nearly flew in my EYE. :-0 Good thing I wear glasses, and it just went "ping" off my lens instead.

Don't give up don't give up don't give up! Busting needles is part of the whole shebang.

    • dearprudence793 wrote on January 15, 10:34 pm

thanks lady jane, I actually can't wait to get more needles, and try again... I sound like a failed junkie, lol.

I am in the market for a new sewing machine. I really like singer but have never heard of this brand. Help out. What do you think is the best? I do hate Brother ones, I have had 2 now didnt like them. It just needs to be with in my budget too...

    • CzarWars wrote on January 12, 1:29 pm

Wow...I think it's easier to build a Plutonium Powered Time-Machine than threading a Sewing Machine...that was mind numbing. And now we can TEXT you!?!? Oh goodness how far you've all come in a year, good stuff?
Say it might be nice to get a little tour of the NEW Threadbanger studio/office since we saw your old digs in Florida how bout it? -Steve C

    • MandyKayy wrote on January 10, 6:30 pm

OK..I really need some more help with this sawing thing.. Or maybe just a new machine!
I finally got my moms old sewing machine out fro some DIY fun..And she doesnt remember at all how to do it.. and neither does my grandma..
After about and hour..and soem help from this video..I finallu threaded the darn thing.. and I was all set..had my material and ready to sew..pushed on the peddle...And it made this wierd noise..and the needle just moved for a second..and barley moved..i tested it over and over again..same thing..I cehcked everything..and I cant figure out whats wrong!!
Maybe its cuz this machine is old(is was my grandmas even..and she enver used it...)

But I cant figure out whats wrong..and its making me sad :(

I might have to try and send in a video to win that new machine?!

oh....I love you! hehe I found you via Domestic Chicky. My friend from Blessed Nest is in Brooklyn,NY too!Heather is the creative one and I am a wanna be. I have this sewing machine. Heather bought it for me. This is the best next to having my friend Heather give me personal assistance! You are the best!

    • lex membrana wrote on January 9, 3:59 pm

Once my mom sewed one of her fingers... the needle was crossing her nail and her finger... she told me her stepdaughter was so impressed that she puke...

Anyhow, that event make me feel stress whenever I use the SewingMachine.. but at this time I think how stupid it could be to get my finger sewn...
my mom's not as brilliant as I used to think!!

    • Rusty (anon) wrote on January 9, 1:10 am

You guys are wonderful: hysterical, fun, and talented. Keep us proud in 2008!

    • dearprudence793 wrote on January 8, 8:27 pm

I think a great idea for a show would be, how to make your own coat of arms, and make it into a patch! I would love to learn how. People who go to private schools, that are forced to wear uniforms, and have a crest of something they hate, they would be able to wear one that they love! I would love it pieces!

Your episode on sewing machines rocked! The last machine I used was 40+ years old & I had no idea how they've simplified things. Thanks for the heads up!

    • sewthernbelle wrote on January 7, 3:21 pm

you forgot the disclaimer about sewing machines tendencies to get posessed by the devil...lol J/K Don't you newbies sweat it. Machines just need a little love, maitenance and holy water.

    • Leta wrote on January 6, 11:48 pm

This was my email... I asked for sewing machine basics! Geeya, you guys kick ass. Both threads go UNDER the presser foot... I had no idea... maybe that's why I was having so much trouble earlier today??

Okay, let me say first off that i love you show more than anything...ANYWAYS..Track is starting soon and if you have ever seen running shows you know they are hideous..anndd my foot is an 11. They look terrible and white...and they clash with my skin..Maybe you can show me or give me ideas like i could spray paint them or something. PLEASE I really need your help here....

      keep rock my world:)

    • creative16cindy wrote on January 5, 2:11 am

That kinda helps.Do you know how to thread old school sewing machines?

    • lunarjade wrote on January 5, 12:48 am

Cool tutorial Glass Onion! As for the show awesome as always. I've heard Janome is a good brand for sewing machines. What I found interesting was that I seem to have the exact same sewing machine. At least it was pretty well identical except it's a Kenmore... which is the Sears brand. Think possibly Janome and Kenmore are made by the same people?

    • kathryn(: wrote on January 5, 12:36 am
