I heard you got a serger! So did I but I need help! I got a Janome craft master 110 from Freecycle~!!!! Yeah!! For freee!!! But it did not come with instuctions, can we get a tutorial on seting up the thread~n~needles? Not anything like my sewing machine. Help!?!?! Thanks!

It's actually ahimsa, not ahisma. Just a tip for the googlers. They normally boil silk caterpillars in order to extract the silk. But not with ahimsa. They make sure the moths live a full and natural life.

Hey! My family has those old sheets too! Guess they were popular in the seventies and/or eighties...I know that's how old my rainbow sheets are! Great episode, but a quick tip to all those who aren't blessed with a blind hem foot...(or they probably lost it...like me!) You can do a blind hem stitch without the foot! It's just a lot more work and your hand might cramp up. That's because you alternate between straight stitches and zigzags manually. Start with a straight stitch on the folded edge (the part that won't be seen on the outside of the hem) Then sew a few stitches, depending on the lenght of stitch you want and then stop. switch to zig zag. Then hand crank one stitch so that it will go over into fabric that will be seen on the outside of the garment. Stop again. Switch back to straight stitch and repeat. It takes forever and like I said your hand will start to cramp up. But until you can buy your own blind hem foot and the machine to go with it which makes the job so much easier, it's a sutitable alternative.
