Hey Thread Banger, I love vintage dresses, but always have a horrid time trying to follow patterns which take too long and are not unique or my style. I wanna design and make dresses without patterns that scream my name, fit right and look stellar.
      thanks fellow design junkies, peace.

    • mary (guest) wrote on July 22, 12:53 am

you should totally make leg or hand warmers they are awsome!! peace out :)!!!!

    • themysticmuffin wrote on July 14, 1:13 am

Aw man, those heart and butterfly-shaped pins are AWESOME. I wish I had cool pins like that...

    • teacupsandtrampolines wrote on July 22, 12:25 pm

Her pins are actually used for lace and embroidery and for delicate fabrics. Not only do they look super cute, they're longer and easier to see. You can pick them up at most fabric goodie shops and use them on your next project!

Ahh!! Thanks for all the positive comments, guys! My internet's been down for the past two weeks, so I come to catch up on all my Threadbanger and I find this! Thanks so much, everyone!

You guys rock and I love all the suggestions and ideas that you have. You have inspired me to come up with so many ideas and the best part is that I am donating them in order to raise funds for United Way. Thanks and keep up the great job !!!!!

    • jordan (guest) wrote on June 29, 9:46 pm

Hey guys! I absolutely love what you do. I've just recenlty gotten into diy and was wondering, since one of the hottest fashions this summer are light dresses could you find some ways to make your own summer dress? Thanks!!!!

super truper boooooooring the sh*** with this threadless - you've changed! i dont like the stuff you do any longer, it got boring and it's all about nature - sucks!

    • sewing_sophist wrote on June 26, 12:57 pm

      What's wrong with nature?

    • komirra wrote on June 24, 6:50 pm

epp was awsome as expected. in regrds to future summer app, i would like to see a couple of skirts made or something. ihad a lot of fabric sitting aroung and i dont know what to do with it. i would get a pattern but i really dont know how to readone, and i think that yall have the coolest ideas.

    • CandyKisses wrote on June 24, 12:41 am

I've been wanting to make that bolero for a while when I first fell in love with NY Couture. Thanks so much for the tutorial, I think I should get off my lazy butt and make it now! Can you put up something about making tutus. Like the nice ones that are on etsy (cyber goth ones not ballet) not the no sew ones. I asked before but don't think it posted :(

    • Rosie (guest) wrote on June 23, 1:06 pm

I LOVED this episode. I'm excited to make the bolero. I've been looking for something I can fold up easily and put in my bag. I'll let you know how it turns out. Also, the Threadless offices might be the coolest things I've ever seen!

Thanks for being a total inspiration,
      Rosie

Hey, go buy a zipper foot. It does not cost very much and you will use it for zillions of things.

    • crimsoncatcreations wrote on June 22, 1:00 pm

How long do we have to submit a video for the shirt re-con?
      Awesome and inspirational as always.

    • Emily a.k.a. Emmie (guest) wrote on June 21, 11:53 pm

I totally love the bolero! I'm totally going to make one. Will ya'll but up a tutorial on how to make or customize a backpack for school? I have no backpacks that describe me for school and found a bag that is the perfect size and color but it needs some...hmm.... DIY touches to it!!!!! So Threadbangers I need your help.

Auugh! That T-shirt Recon is so cute! Dx I want to make one baaaad but I don't have a zipper foot ): Let alone I'm not that talented with my sewing machine... Threadless is LOVE. My friend has an awesome David Bowie-Fox shirt from them and I am in love with it. I had no idea they offered such an incentive to artists! I should have know this since I AM an artist >:\ I guess I will spend my week of vacation sending in designs!!

Please make another tutorial on summer wear! I've been looking everywhere for girl-fit swim trunks because I don't like my thighs and boy ones are always too long or ugly ): I've been wanting to make one but I don't know where to start, help me!! I will give you many muffins and brownies of love (:

    • intangibliana (guest) wrote on July 8, 5:48 pm

I actually did mine without a zipper foot (I know, bad me. I thought I had one when I started the project, but it turns out I don't). It does add a little bunchiness, but it's still possible.

    • geekxnerd wrote on June 21, 9:12 am

      Heyhey,
This very moment I’m still studying for my last exam but I’m already thinking about all the diy-projects I can finally do next week. Hurray! I was thinking about making a simple quilt/ patchwork-blanket with all my scraps from shortened skirts etc. Could you guys give some tips on how to get started?
      Love your show!

    • makealife (guest) wrote on June 21, 8:33 am

i would start by cutting all the scraps to the same high .it makes it easyer to sew together.good luck in your exam!

    • Dan (guest) wrote on June 21, 4:37 am

The add for threadless at the start was Wayyy to long. More then 50% of the whole video and it took forever to load.

    • corinneleigh (guest) wrote on June 21, 10:01 am

i wouldn't call it an ad. they didn't pay us for it. we featured them because we heart them. sorry if you thought it was too long. they have a lot of really cool projects going on.

I'm out of school for a while and am trying with all of my might to get a good job. Any tutorials on professional attire that still looks stylish would be fantastic!

    • eduse wrote on June 25, 5:02 pm

I don't know about reconfiguring clothes - but while working offices I had success with professional attire by mixing vintage pieces (like vintage blouses/shirts) with plain modern stuff. The trick is not to go all vintage - but just have an item here or there - like a vintage belt or bag or pants or skirt - you get the idea...

    • kira (guest) wrote on June 21, 1:44 am

I don't think the retail manager knows what "literally" means.... you can't literally blow up on-line...

    • corinneleigh (guest) wrote on June 21, 12:38 am

      why not?

    • kira (guest) wrote on June 21, 1:45 am

pete, there's dictionary.com for your types. diy or die!

    • Katzilla (guest) wrote on June 21, 9:51 am
