Corinne IS super-awesome. And can I say, you look especially fantastic this episode. Your love and kindness shines through in all you do. Take THAT Robert/David.
    BROOKLYN'S GOT HER BACK, Yo!

  • Anne (guest) wrote on July 18, 12:53 pm

Great video!!!! I love you guys threadbangers!!! you are soo cool and your projects are realllllly great!!!

I wanted to ask you if you could post some designing or diy contests ( yours and others too) on your website. What I mean is that I have been looking for a contest but can not find any... maybe you guys know one I could try out :D

thanks a lot!!! Can not wait to see to next videos !!!

  • elizabeth.k (guest) wrote on July 18, 12:56 pm

i would ,ove to know how you made that shirt corinne was wearing super cute !!!!

  • lindsey (guest) wrote on July 18, 1:00 pm

i love the tutorial! the hat is awesome. also i am jealous that i'm not a winner of the sewing machine!!!

  • amieeee wrote on July 18, 1:30 pm

Awesome tutorial...you guys rock! Corinne, i love the shirt you were wearing...did you make it?

  • ink_bottle wrote on July 18, 1:32 pm

Man, stitch ripping while trying to pay attention to that tutorial was hard. It totally made sense when it was turned right side out and she was rutching.

  • ink_bottle wrote on July 18, 1:33 pm

Also by the way Rob and Corrine, you look tired. I think you need to take a few days off and let the viewers make an episode or two.

  • eleen wrote on July 18, 1:58 pm

wow. i think i broke a sweat watching that tutorial. thanks!!!

  • Aurora199 wrote on July 18, 2:03 pm

Great job you guys. We know and really appreciate all the effort you are putting into your episodes in response to viewer requests. Your hard work has definitely paid off!! This was an excellent episode.

btw. Rob, did you make your own jeans hat? lol

  • Caitlin Alexander (guest) wrote on July 18, 2:44 pm

Wonderful episode! One of your best tutorials. I like that the shorts were like WAY over-easy but perfect for a 'first-diy-project' and then the hat looked pretty time consuming and professional. I actually think I may go make one now...it was adorable! (Oops...no fusible webbing...I'll have to do that project after a trip to Jo-Anns!) Looks like I'll be making Rob's hat instead ;)

It's great to see you guys listening to the viewers. You are such great people and I do hope you never lose sight of the wonderful things you are doing.

I agree - you look a bit tired. Take a break! You've earned it!

  • pucktricks (guest) wrote on July 19, 4:16 pm

You could do it without fusible webbing if you weren't making the hat with a stretchy material. Or, use another piece of firm material to help give extra structure.

  • UnusedUsername wrote on July 18, 3:13 pm

Not my favorite episode but a good one at that.
    :)

  • Soledad (guest) wrote on July 18, 3:39 pm

I laughed so hard when I saw Rob's hat. Now there's something I can make with my two kids going wild all through the house.

  • xxhaydenxx wrote on July 18, 3:48 pm

    hi there
    i have a problem
i'm really short and i can never find any skinny jeans that fit
if u know any places to get them
or if u know how to make them it would be a huge help
    please help me out

  • loveabeth (guest) wrote on July 24, 4:03 am

I had that same problem too! Why do designers think that everyone is like a bzillion feet tall? Go to burdastyle.com and check out their rad sewing pattern for skinny jeans. Its pretty easy and you can easily adjust them for your height. Or you could always cut off and hem the bottom of your jeans for a better fit. Hope that helps :)

  • Create and Destroy wrote on July 18, 4:13 pm

I'll agree with you on tired....but i think that was only because we shot that intro at like 2 o clock in the morning last night.
We'll never get tired of DIY. But hey if anyone wants to take the initiative to make another Viewer Takeover episode....we're more than down :)

  • CindyKatz wrote on July 18, 4:45 pm

Coooll, I am going to make myself a hat out of those purple jeans that fit me supper long from the legs!
    Thanks guys!!^_^

  • sewing_sophist wrote on July 18, 5:28 pm

Awesome sode, and the hat doesn't look all that complicated (to me at least)...
I really love your shirt Corrine, did you make it? Yes? Tutorial? XD

  • xo_rAiN_sToRm_ox wrote on July 18, 7:15 pm

I just wanted to say awesome tutorial and Corinne shirt is really cute. :)

  • supadey wrote on July 18, 11:03 pm

TANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!! awww im so in love with you! your shows are getting better and better, it was an awesome tutorial!and it was sooo much fun when i saw rob with his hat :). thanks also for the indie designer ^^. but... i cant find a web page about her!! doesnt she have one? because i really liked her designs.
well, again, thankyou guy so much for taking the time of making this show!!! :)

  • Human wrote on July 18, 11:54 pm

I must say Corinne, I do admire the dramatic hair piece. What exactly did you do to make that? Also, did you just bobby pin it to make it stay?

  • Ben (guest) wrote on July 19, 9:01 pm

    argghhhhhh TOOOOO MUCH!!!

great to watch but ayahhh! no way can i do anything like that...

ok so... i've watched a few of the vid's (understatement ) but, im a serial 'buyer' i admit... i'm a fashion conscious guy, but an art student...
but this whole DIY fix has caught my interest so..

the challenge... convert me : ))
conditions... minimal style damage and maximum fun

but here is the punch line:- despite my ability to use a sewing machine i do not have one... i can however hand sew and have Plenty of stuff to recycle

so rob and corrine can you hook up a sewing machineless fashion focused guy with a quick project to set the wheels in motion?

    Ben

So excellent as usual. You both rock so hard. Every eppy is better and better.
I'm off to make a hat. See ya!

  • miekogirlie99 wrote on July 23, 2:26 pm

That was a great tutorial! Would you be able to do another hard core hat tutorial just like this and make a sun hat?

  • rollerwriter wrote on July 24, 12:48 pm

That was terrific! The detail made it all look so do-able. Thank you! What about some thrify store sweater redos?

  • FantasyPunkPrincess wrote on July 28, 1:41 pm

heh heh! i like the happy music during the last half of the hat-making!

  • 2sewORnot2sew (guest) wrote on July 29, 10:23 am

Could you do the same scrunchy effect thing with elastic that she did to the hat ? Is there such thing as elastic thread and can you use it in a regular sewing machine ?
