Amazing! Corrine you are amazing, who would guess you would know how to work with fur!? It just shows you are truely commited to your art/craft. Also, I agree with you completely on the FUR ISSUE... fur is murder, but there is something to be said for vintage fur being used in an ethical way. The big foot costume was so creative and beautifuly made! I am truely impressed. You guys rock.
can you show us how to make a short tutu? like the ballerina ones? im thinking of making one for a "performers without their apparatus party" and i would like to know how to make a short little tutu :)
Just because you're using vintage fur and recycling doesn't make it right, you're still promoting fur. People who see you in this costume on the street aren't going to know it's vintage and they might think that fur is cool. You said that the slaughtering of animals for fur makes you barf so I don't understand why you condone vintage fur because it still gives the message that fur is okay. If fur disgusts you to the extent that it makes you physically ill, don't delude yourself that recycling makes it all better. Fur is never ethical, vintage or not.
what makes me equally as sick is the use of new materials made predominately of petroleum based ingredients for costumes that are going to be worn once and thrown away. would you be happier if all the animals-that-died-in-vains' pelts were thrown in a landfill and wasted? unfortunately you cannot undo that fact that there are many many many fur coats out there. besides, the main portion of the costume was made from a fake fur coat. the other one that was used was so old, smelly and fragile that not much else could have been done with it.
i understand where you are coming from. i don't wear fur ever, fake or real.
Genesis 1:28 - 'God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."'
I believe you confused the indymogule-links. The tut is just awesome! Although halloween isn't really a holiday in germany we have a little party in berlin next week and you guys inspiered us to do so. Thanks!
This week Threadbanger is teaming up with IndyMogul to show you how to make a Bigfoot costume for Halloween. Watch Threadbanger build the suit using recycled fur jackets, then head over to IndyMogul.com to learn how to make the head, hands and feet to complete the look.
please do a show on how to free hand a thread banger logo
That must be a crazy hot outfit to wear. Totally awesome though. Very creative.

But I bet there was alot of Fur on you and on the floor...sucked huh..
aww you poor thing. xoxoxoxox
What happens when you have to use the bathroom quickly?
Don't drink, 'cause you cant pee (easily) in this costume. Great work though. I never thought about it that much - but fur is, kinda gross.
i think it would be way better just to make a wookie costume.
Best costume idea ever!!!!!! so much fun to make!
Fancy. :)
The fur body-suit-thingy could work well for a werewolf costume as well.
Not bad. the fur sewing tips will come in handy if I ever decide to put fur trim on coats and mitts.
The furs are nasty but, the outfit is neat.
simply amazing!!
