i actually really like this idea u nvr know what ull find @ a goodwill or thrift store. im not known for dressing "preppy" as some of u are calling it but if i saw this website while i was in school a year ago i would have had a better chance saving money by a long shot! thx threadbanger u guys are M-AZING!!

While the outfits were trendy, they were wayyy too preppy for my taste. Can't I be stylish AND unique???

Hi!! I am not sure if anyone has requested a few ideas on maternity clothing, buuut.. Well, to be honest I'm just starting to grow out of my regular clothing and I only have one month left to go and I just can't justify buying new clothing that I'm going to wear for about two months that won't ever fit me again. So, If you could do a show based on making regular clothing maternity-friendly, that would definitely make my day!

These are super cute....for cold weather. Here in Georgia, it's close to 90 degrees until about mid September; just a bit too warm for a corduroy blazer.

I love blazers for school! As long as you wear them with a cute pair of jeans and a youthful top underneath they totally work for get dressed quick and casual. I just picked up a great, genuine, fitted Guess blazer at my local Savers. And it was 8 bucks. But it is my only one...
Maybe a tutorial on how to make a really simple blazer? Pls?? :)

For those of us who go to school in Florida and have to walk at least 15 minutes to get to class with NO SHADE, Blazers are kind of out for the first day. Although, the later days of Fall and earl days of Spring semester, this is perfect. I like it a lot!

Helllooo!  I totally went thift shopping in high school, back in the 80's~~it was like totally cool!! OK, im 40 now, i need to stop that!! hahaha! Im glad to hear the kids think thift shopping is cool! reduce, reuse N recycle!

I don't know about the rest of you doubtfuls but blazers are back. If you're worried, it doesn't have to be a daily look. I reccomend taking ti to the next step and getting a colourful checker-plaid blazer (yellow reds, greens), even if you're wearing it as a fall sweater on the way to school.

very "grown- up".... i´ll wear that in the office but not at school or the university...

I liked the idea but I'm not going to walk in to school wearing a blazer. I would like a safer, easier option for just everyday but with enough style.

Ya.. this episode was kinda disappointing.. none of the Goodwills I have ever been to have ANYTHING, let alone stuff that nice.  And... I have never seen anyone wear a blazer to high school... unless you're talking about college.. idk.  All of that was kinda common sense?

I love these ideas! But the only thing is, at my school, we don't have the uniforms mentioned in this vid. We have to wear a plain polo and pants with the shirt tucked in. I've kinda run out of ideas on what to wear to stay far away from conforming to the mass of red and black uniforms! The blazer idea may work out, however! They're kinda strict about the whole thing, but I hope I'll be able to find something this week! :D Your videos rock my socks!

DOOD. i think i may have been there during the filming of this! i was near the back buying silverware for my pre-college dorm across the street at SVA! we were all laughing at that ugly fuzzy jacket! CRAZY.

sigh, oh my uniform how i hate you, some of this kinda ok but it just reminds me of my lame a$$ uniform. i hate stroudsburg high school

I am surprised that anyone here would like such plain clothes with no personal expression! I would be changing the buttons, adding something DIY to the jackets, etc. I found all these outfits extremely boring, who wants to look like all the other clones.

Don't forget about the wonders of consignment... you take your old stuff in, and the store either pays you for them or gives you credit to spend in the store.  Best way to motivate a closet clean-out before heading back to school.

I really like this episode, very good tips. One thing though, I'm in Florida and though I love these outfits I can hardly bear to wear a tshirt let alone multiple layers and blazers in this heat. It would be great if maybe you could do some with as much class but less clothing, if you catch my drift.

I mostley where button downs with just a tie on top of a tie and a vest i never wore a blazer i am deffanetly gonna try wearing a blazer to make my look have that bit more so thanks for the advice

this could help me a bit, my school has a uniform but we can get away with heaps, like blazers, fishnets, docs etc. it's great :)

omg my school sucks and the company we have to buy our uniforms from is like this dumpy little building, we even have to wear uniform jackets and absolutly no hats or bandanas and definitly none of the stuff you just suggested, DAMN PRIVATE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DONT CARE IF THE EDUCATION IS BETTER!!!!!! IM LEARNING THINGS THAT ARE ABSOULUTLY USELESS!!!

nice vid  -but the unhealthy dove candy sugar commercial pays the bills - holistic sponsors would be better. Perhaps contact Eden Foods, In fact I will contact them and suggest they advertise their healthy foods.  This way DIY'ers can take care and DIY their health care too.

Goodwill is the best--inexpensive recycle of expensive items--I've found cashmere, linen, silks--you'd be surprised what people won't wear anymore and give to Goodwill-God Bless Them

We have a really great Goodwill warehouse where we live. It's so amazing, every single time I go, I find all kinds of clothes I can use to make something else. It's seriously a wonderland. [:

Cashmere? It seems kind of opposite that people who are shopping for back-to-school looks can afford cashmere.

I think this is a great episode.  Even if you don't have to dress up in uniforms for school, Goodwill is a great place for bargains.
