I know this is completely off-the-wall and not at all related to the video, but could someone tell me how to make ruffles? i wanted to make a vest with ruffles around the back but i don't know how to make them springy and even...help? anyone?

So this question is going to be embarrassing...but I have to ask. Let me start from here... this past weekend I went to the local Anime Convention here and I'm eager to make my own costume for next year (this year I only bought it from WalMart). I have one little problem though... I don't know how to sew with a sewing machine :( can you please help me out? A video of how to do it would be great! I'd love to be able to actually see how to do it instead of reading on how to do it. Thanks guys! Keep up the awesome work
