I loved the idea of an easy to make hoodie so I made one! Of course I don't actually own a sewing machine...so it is only pinned to take to a friend for sewing but it is ready to go! 

We used a work uniform as a collegue always wears a flannel to work on top of his shirt so I decided to use this as a way to start my life in sewing :)

YAY! I was one of the Passion for Fashion contestants and that weekend shed light on this site for me. I saw you guys wandering around with the camera and I kept thinking...who are these people? I just browsed through the site and I am in love. Mad love for the American Sewing Expo and this killer site.

I'm from Memphis and I would love to see threadbangers come to the city where the "Blues" were born and where Elvis lived....I mean you know we love BLING here!!!!

As I'm a handspinner, I particularly liked the spinning to recycle clothing bit by Back to Back. I was bummed however that there isn't more information on their reuse of materials on their website.

The Janome winners were totally adorable, great tut!

You guys are so awesome. Your projects are great for a rainy Sunday afternoon. Even if I don't do the exact project you show, I learned how to install a zipper, sew buttons, topstitch and make so much stuff from watching you guys. You should set up a donation page.
