I completely agree. Thank you, Alina, for mentioning this. It's not something that has bothered me enough to stop watching (because I do love the show!), but I'm glad the point has been brought up.

I think that more people should speak up for what they believe in. It is called gay  "Pride"  after all. 

What's wrong with being proud?

I completely disagree Alina. Some of the people behind Decor It Yourself and the creative endeavors we celebrate and support at Threadbanger are gay. We will stand behind them and celebrate their rights as much as we can.
It is not a political issue, it's about having an open heart and mind.

Of course! I support the art of many in the creative community who happen to be gay, and many innovative pieces have been created by gay designers, yet I do not feel obligated to morally advocate their personal life outside of the creative realm. I am sure everyone enjoys the work of at least one artist or musician with whom they may not morally or personally agree in regards to life choices, yet their agenda is not part of their work.

There's no "agenda". It's all about equal rights, and with people attacking that recently, good-hearted people are stepping up and showing how unacceptable that is.

Woah, Alina. The fact that you still think being gay or being straight for that matter is a choice only further proves your ignorance. Most of us on here are American, meaning we live in a country founded on the idea that all citizens should have equal rights. Though sadly the reality is far from the principle. Harvey Milk fought and died for it, and must be remembered honorably by all of us. Leave your bigotry at the door.

As the community manager I would like to remind everyone that Threadbanger is not a political site, nor does it contain political-leaning content.  Threadbanger will continue to create episodes that are related to and affect the current DIY fashion community only from a fashion standpoint - whether its what Harvey Milk wore in the 70s or what June Clever wore in the 50s, we're going to teach you how to make it yourself if you display an interest!  Rob, Corinne and all of the Threadbanger team carefully and thoughtfully develop shows that relate best to contemporary DIY fashion and suggestions from our members.  Thanks for your interest, opinions, participation and keeping the discourse clean!

Honestly, I have no idea why you are taking issue with this video since it focuses on the costuming of a film. It shouldn't matter what the film was about as it was not being discussed beyond the costuming aspect of it. Seriously, grow up. We're here to learn about DIY projects, the fashion industry, costuming, etc.; well, at least, that's why I'm here. Threadbanger, another excellent interview. I'm continually impressed with your content!
