How to Sew a French Seam
In today's Cape tutorial, Meg wasn't sure if the seam she was sewing was a french seam or not. It is actually a double topstitch seam as Guenevere pointed out in the comments of the episode. Sewmysoul on the forums posted the following youtube video on how-to sew a french seam. Thanks for catching that everyone! When you teach yourself to sew its hard to know the right names for everything! I sure didn't know! I remember the days when i called making a casing, "tunneling". On that note, I just started an apprenticeship with famed couture designer Kennith King! So exciting! Don't worry, I plan on passing on all the knowledge I get from him to all you self taught Threadbangers out there! xoxox c
