Celebrity DIY Style: Victoria Secret Fashion Show

Last Wednesday, Victoria Secret's fashion show hit the airwaves. Jewel encrusted braziers, fancy knickers, and giant bows made their way down the runway, enticing everyone to buy their goods. While I love thumbing through their catalog and occasionally splurging on a purchase, I cringe everytime I pay the bill. for a bra? for a panty? Pattern companies make it simple to create similar styles for yourself using a small bit of fabric (even scraps from other projects or recycled t-shirts will work) and a sewing machine. Kwik sew has a wide assortment of lingerie patterns including numerous styles of underwear and bras, bustiers, and garters. Other pattern companies such as Jalie and McCall have their own collections and Burda Style has a free "Cheeky Panty" pattern available for download. In the time it takes to drive to the store, you could have a new pair ready to wear. Now what are you waiting for? [photos via FabSugar]
