Michael Jackson's Fashion Highs
Truth be told, not many people can pull off the sequined glove on a walk to the bus stop, let alone rock it into incredible cultural notoriety on a moon walk. Self-expression through fashion is hard to do, but MJ always seemed to stick to his own style, as strange as it seemed at times. Micheal Jackson is not gone, in that sense. His fashion choices got at the core of what Threadbanger is all about; that is, letting the inner bling out. And you've requested an MJ shout-out in the forums, so here she is; some favorite MJ outfits throughout the years, as well as a little laundry list of Threadbangers who've created similar looks without having to auction off the Neverland Ranch.
1) Red. Leather. Motor. Cycle. Jacket. (above) Nuff' said.
Working with leather's tricky (I assume), but ShelbyRUDE's cotton creation in the forums would do. The color and layout would require just a bit of tweaking, like using red fabric and adding details in the shoulders with ribbing and/or other add-ons. Let me know if you have any ideas for adding to this.
2) When the King of Pop first moon-walked in his white ankle socks, fedora and black loafers, his fashion influence left contrails as well.

I suggest getting the socks new, at least in organic cotton or at a craft fair, but plenty of Threadbangers, like honeyBee, known how to knit 'em too. Just replace the rainbow yarn with white!
Gabby crafted a fine fedora that could double as a MJ accessory in black:
*Not sure who can cobble shoes, but if you can do loafers a la the moon dance debut, props!
3) The one-glove look has been donning hands with sparkles since Michael slipped it on in plain white when I was just a cell or two, er, in 1983 for a Motown anniversary TV performance of "Billy Jean". Glitterati and mass quantities of silver sequins followed.

For the glove mlssfshn suggests tracing your hands and adding necessary seam allowance. Here's a pair of homemade gloves that look great from LudicrousLouisa and could be altered to a smaller size with a different fabric. Sequins can be mod-podged on.
4) Finally, the military jacket (arguably originally Sgt. Pepper-style) has been high fashion since the king of pop rocked it.

Threadbanger kisukejazz made his own with some splendid gold detail.
