Celebrity DIY Style: Recycled Denim Skirts

I love window shopping - not only does it keep me on top of the current trends, but it also gives me a ton of inspiration as to what my next project might be. Take, for instance, this denim skirt from Abercrombie - it's cute, trendy (everyone from Gisele to Lily Allen have been spotted wearing something similar lately), and comes with a $60 price tag. Why pay this much when you can make one for free? Using Threadbanger's own tutorial for transforming old jeans into a denim skirt, I took a pair of unwanted jeans and transformed them into a smokin' hot jean skirt.

To make this skirt look a bit worn out like my inspiration photos, I left the hem unfinished and distressed the jeans a bit using a razor blade (to make holes and worn out marks around the pockets) and sand paper. There are lots of tutorials on how to do this including this article from Jeans and Accessories and Rob and Corinne's video on making your jeans look vintage!
