Weekly DIY Roundup: Knit and Crochet Head Kerchiefs!
In the summer I normally wear a ponytail most days, but sometimes I like to mix it up and pull my hair back with a kerchief! There are a bunch of great summery knit and crochet patterns out there, like this one on the Purl Bee:

I like this simple-ish design too - Rosie the Riveter Kerchief on AmyBsKnititYourself:

And this basic Girl's Kerchief on knitting-and.com:

Moving on to more elaborate knit designs - this "Whimsy" Zig-Zag Mesh Kerchief is by Durandir on livejournal:

Mind's Eye Yarns has a pattern for the Lace Hair Kerchief - this one was knit by vocalizard on flickr:

I really like this Leaf Lace Kerchief on Knit Wiki:

This Ostrich Feather Lace Kerchief on The Twice Sheared Sheep Blog is gorgeous:

And this Franz Kerchief by Running Jack Knits is color-tastic:

I love Kristin LeMoine's Kri-Kerchief, which is available as a ravelry download, or direct pdf download:

Now for the crochet - Around the Crochet Table has a super simple pattern:

Classic Elite Yarns has a pattern for this beautiful Lacy Crochet Kerchief:

This pretty Winged Hair Kerchief is from Wrapped in Fiber:

And lastly, this Babushka is by Naida's Crochet:

So now you have some knit or crochet projects that you can both make and wear while it's still warm! This roundup idea was given to me by a twitter follower - as I've been doing roundups for about a year and a half now, it's getting harder for me to think of ideas each week, so let me know what you want to see! Follow me on twitter and you can give me your suggestions!
