Weekly DIY Roundup: Trivets, Pot Holders, and Table Decor!

Diane's genius trivet made from recycled wool yo-yos inspired me to do some searching and round up a bunch of trivets, pot holders, and other assorted table items for you! Starting, of course, with the Felted Sweater Trivet by Diane Gilleland of Craftypod:

There are many ways to make trivets from wine corks - Apartment Therapy shows us one method, which uses an adjustable metal pipe clamp:

And Still Dottie made this one by sewing the cork pieces together:

Design*Sponge has a tutorial for these stenciled trivets:

Moving on to pot holders... Jenny Ryan did a how-to on Craft for this Simple Quilted Potholder:

No tutorial here, but I have to include this set of freaking fabulous crocheted pot holders by meekssandygirl on Craftster (click to see all 9 of them!):

I already included this tutorial in a weaving roundup awhile back, but I can't leave it out of this one - especially since I just scored a vintage metal loom just like this one, so now I'm super excited to use it with sock loops! DIY Sock Potholder on re-nest:

The Purl Bee has a detailed how-to for these colorful Woven Felt Placemats:

Vintage-craftiness expert Cathy Callahan posted on Craft about making Vintage-Inspired Tabletop Decor:

Also on Craft, Betz White shows us how to Sew a Table Runner:

And lastly, Chez Beeper Bebe spent the summer making 40 assorted cloth napkins, and offers a downloadable 5-part tutorial for all 5 styles: basic, rick rack, ruffled, appliqué, and embroidered!

For some reason, Autumn, and the feeling of impending Winter, makes me want to do home projects - reorganizing and decorating type stuff. So I'll definitely be playing around with some of these ideas! As always, if you have a favorite table decor project I didn't mention, let us all know in the comments!
