i used the pattern with rabbit fur, definitely a wonderful hat. thinking another with rabbit fur but this time also weatherproof outside, im thinking leather
I miss you Rob! At least I have some backlogged vids of how to make guy stuff. With two little boys and a very tall husband, your tutorials were always the best and most useful!! Making this hat for a christmas present now.
There has been a video on the Bomberhat. It's really not that difficult. I don't have the link present right now, but I'm sure you'll find it when you check youtube or the threadbanger site.
i need help............ I need to make a top hat. pleez give a vid on how to make a top hat. i want 1 like the 1 u used on the steampunk video. pleez help. i am goin to be in a play and i dont know where to get 1 so i thought i would just make 1!!!!!!
I believe Threadbanger already has a top hat video. Check out their Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter one (yielded by a simple Google search.) Modify it to fit your needs.
Make sure you have WinZip or WinRar installed on your computer, otherwise you can't open the folder. WinRar is free, and available here:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Most of you are running Windows XP x86, so make sure you select the right version for your operating system.
If the problem is not being able to open the .pdf files, you need Adobe Reader, also free, from here:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/
No need to choose a version, so long as you're running XP Service Pack 2 or 3. The installer will automatically select and install the correct version.
um...for some reason i can't open the file... it says that maybe you emailed it to me and the file want fully decoded...i really really want to make this hat but i can't with out a pattern...I AM NO GOOD A MATH!!! ='(
There's another pattern here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=87662.0;all and here: http://www.shelby.fi/kaava/403/403.php if that helps.
