Weekly DIY Roundup: Holiday Ornaments!

Last year I did a massive ornaments roundup (also: wreaths, gift wrapping, and handmade holiday shopping) - but there are just so many cool ornament projects that I want to round up new ones that I've come across this year. Starting with these amazing Terrarium Ornaments on Reese Dixon:

A Little Hut shows us how to make these simple but beautiful teardrop holiday ornaments:

Creature Comforts has a tutorial for these cute Acorn-Topped Ornaments:

CrafterNews offers a free Kanzashi Ornaments tutorial download, from Diane Gilleland's book, Kanzashi in Bloom:

Fashioning Technology has a great how-to for these awesome Illuminated Snowflake Ornaments:

I really like this Felt Christmas Ornament at Zakka Life:

As a photographer and huge fan of all things polaroid, I absolutely love this felt polaroid ornament by katie.cupcake!

For a different look, check out these super cool Argyle Applique Ornaments by So September, love them!

Craft Leftovers offers a free pattern for this Earth & Sky Mini Sock Ornament - what a great way to celebrate your sock knitting love with your holiday decor!

And I'll end by making sure you know about this ebook - Crafty Tree Trimmings - which has 6 gorgeous ornament projects by 6 fabulous crafters. Buying the ebook not only supports independent crafters and self-publishing (yeah!) but proceeds also get donated to Project Linus, which collects handmade blankets for kids in need. The photo at the top is Susan Beal's version of Diane Gilleland's project from the book.

So those are just some of my recent favorites - again, check out my huge ornament list from last year for oh so many more! What other holiday-related roundups would you like to see this year? Let me know in the comments!
