Weekly DIY Roundup: Knit Mittens (part 2)!
About a year ago, I did a roundup of free knit and crochet (and some sewn) mittens patterns, so check that out for lots of awesome free designs - for this part 2, I'm sticking with knit only, and most of them are for sale patterns (support independent designers!). Many of these links are to the ravelry pages, which means you have to be a member to view them - I highly recommend signing up if you're not already! It's free, you don't have to post your own stuff (you can just log in to see everything else there is to offer) and it's for knitting, crochet, weaving, and yarn, so even if you're not a knitter, it's a super fun site to browse around! (In the photo below are Ysolda Teague's Cotton Reel Mittens, mentioned later.)
I absolutely love these Deep in the Forest Mittens by Tuulia Salmela:
I think my other favorite is Love Bytes (Robot Mittens) by Grace Schnebly, and I definitely prefer this orange+blue colorway (brown+pink version at the top)!
Eunny Jang designed these pretty, swirly Anemoi Mittens:
It seems that unicorns are the new owls (or something...) so these Unicorn Mittens by Cindy Craft are great:
I love these Skyline Mittens on the Skyline Chilly blog - especially in these colors!
Adrian Bizilia has designed several gorgeous mitten patterns, like the Fiddlehead Mittens...
...and these Squirrel Sampler Mittens:
Adrian also designed these awesome Faux bois mittens, which are in a set with a scarf, for Twist Collective:
Twist Collective also offers these Lotus Leaf Mittens by Elli Stubenrauch - so pretty!
Ysolda Teague has a couple of fantastic mittens - the Snapdragon flip-tops are cute and functional...
...and the Cotton Reel Mittens can also be made in a fingerless style (full mittens version pictured at the top):
These Galileo Mittens by Laura Chau are fabulous!
Lucy Neatby designed these awesome Paradoxical Mittens:
I think these Kissing Koi Mittens by Lisa Perusse are beautiful:
Jorid's Pattern Shop has tons of great mitten designs, including cats, dogs, fish, a zebra, and these fabulous Moose loves roses mittens:
I love the kind of 70's feel of these fun Swedish Fish mittens by SpillyJane, which are also given in a fingerless design:
Rodger Murry recently released these mittens, called Kelvin, in their cool looking u-turn stripe design:
And I'll end with a free pattern - Elli Stubenrauch designed these Squirrelly Swedish Mittens - cute!
So, keep your hands warm, and I plan to do a fingerless mitts roundup when the weather starts to warm up! Happy knitting!
