In the Neck of Time

We know it’s a little early for scarves, but since we are so sick of all those annoying hipsters who insist on wearing Arafat scarves in chest-collapsing 90 degree weather, we thought we’d throw another option out there. Seriously, what is up with that? The other day I was just standing on the street sweating in a tank dress when this gal zipped passed me wearing a three layers and a cardigan…and there wasn’t a drop of perspiration on her. We’re still looking into whether or not “those people” are controlled by a modern day Jim Jones. In the meantime, however, may we introduce the drawstring scarf. Letau Designs has design a unique scarf that hasn’t been played out or makes up want to jab our eyes out simply for relief. Ranging between $70 and $250 depending on fabric, this two-in-one creation can be worn flat or ruched should you want to “bring in the funk.” You can pair your scarf with a polished look for a touch of couture or spice up your jeans and tank—the possibilities are endless. Letau hasn’t forgotten about the men—they also have a unisex schoodies, which is a scarf and hoodie combo. Plus, they are reversible allowing you to have two looks in one. Talk about hipster heaven! Let’s just hope we haven’t created a monster…if so, pass the Kool-Aid. Insider Tip: Not quite ready to accept that fall is coming? I like Arafat scarves! However, where I am (England) it is pretty chilly at the moment, so they are more justifiable.
Like the drawstring scarves though.
cool scarves
This isn't a DIY, this is an ad.
AGH! So much money! I wouldn't spend that much on anything that I'll probably end u chopping up anyway!!!
I made the hoodie scarf for $4 using 2 t-shirts in 45 minutes. I'll make the ruched scarf next for a friend, it's more her style. I wouldn't spend that much on a scarf either.
these posts are intended to inspire not sell. besides this company had to start from some where. i would definitely not pay that much for a scarf but i think they are pretty cool and would like to make one for myself.
What's up with people using negativity and referring to "I'm so sick of hipsters doing this or that" everywhere? Seriously? I'm going to start collecting these so I can make my point but it seems like such a immature and unconstructive way to make your point and makes you look jealous and petty. As soon as I read that I thought, "I don't care what this guy/girl is pushing. They're negative and they suck." Anyway, just thought you should know. Often people don't even realize they come off like this because they're so convinced that everyone else behaves the same. But we don't. Moral is, don't put down other people to build up yourself. You just sound/look stupid.
This seems like a scarf you could totally make yourself. If it's really meant to inspire, not sell, how about a tutorial?
Exactly Melmel, I thought the point was to show how to not where to buy.
have you ever gone into a store and got inspiration from something that was being sold, but instead of buying it, you made it yourself? i do that all the time. diy is a lot about figuring out how to do things on your own.
that is soo on the edge... If the big fashion wigs caught a wiff of that it would sooo be in a collection debuee on a fashion week.
