POSTED BY Rob Czar, 05 October 2007

we just got this awesome email that made us a little va klempt....thought we'd share.

I just watched your Knitting Tutorial and I think that it totally kicked ass!! I have wanted to learn Crochet and Knitting since I was 15 years old..but couldn't learn from those damn Knitting/Crochet Kits they sell, reading those abbreviations for the different stitches and techniques is a pain in the arse! But I'm still gonna have to learn that sh*t..Anyways..I'm 34 years old now and just bought a Crochet Kit a week or so ago, that was a waste! But I've looked around on the net and You Tube and found some helpful vidz so far. I am sooo glad that I stumbled upon your video! Theres no telling how many people you have taught online through your tuts! Keep it up & keep those tuts a coming! I'm going to check out threadbangers.com - hope that I have it right? I hope you don't mind me adding you as a friend? You kick ass, my friend!!

P.S. ~ I've always wanted to knit or crochet
my children-{I have 4} many baby blankets, booties, clothing and toys...I never got to. But maybe I can make them some things anyways. My youngest just turned 3, so maybe I still have some time to make her some beautiful things..all thanks to you! ;0)

    The Big Story: Opening Ceremony)

Destination ImagiNation is a week long Over 200,000 students in over 56 countries and the United States participate in Destination Imagination®. This popular process-based program helps young people build lifelong skills in creative and critical thinking, teamwork, time management and problem solving.

Up to seven participants work together as a team for eight to twelve weeks to create their unique solution to a Team Challenge, which can have a focus that is theatrical, structural, improvisational, scientific or technical - or a blend of several disciplines.

Teams also learn and practice creative quick-thinking skills for the Instant Challenge portion of the program. Destination ImagiNation helps young people learn in a fun and supportive environment, and the valuable skills they have acquired will be with them for a lifetime.

Participants learn unique and critical life skills including teamwork, critical and creative thinking, project management, resource management, mutual respect, research and presentation skills and, as all challenges must be strictly team-solved, self-reliance. These skills make Destination ImagiNation participants more valuable to their communities and as future employees.

Creativity is not just a school-year activity. Many state, local and international affiliates offer creativity activities for kids all year. This includes summer camps that incorporate all of the fun, thoughtful and team-centered activities that make learning interesting.

The Destination ImagiNation® is the flagship program of the non-profit Destination ImagiNation®, Inc.

Global Finals is a culmination of the creativity competition year. It brings team winners representing their state, their province, or their country to compete together at the annual international creative problem solving tournament held at the University of Tennessee.

Destination ImagiNation Global Finals is, simply put, the largest creativity competition of its kind held anywhere. It creates a place where creativity is not only accepted, but it is expected, and the results transcends language.

Teams from around the world, although competing, bond and create lifelong friendships in the Spirit of DI™.

THe one thing at DI global finals is is called the duck tape ball and it is a party wher you have to make your costume with 2 or more paces of duck tape. at 07 global finals some one made a dress out of the game of twister. your have to see the coach challenge that as a new theam every year and the costumes are so funny like 07 had 70's as a theam and some one made them self in to a disco ball or the guy that made afro wig out of black balloons.but the duck tape wall is the best it is where every team puts 1 or more things from ther compatishion on the wall with only duck tape. one team put a car door on the wall.
