Episode 8 Links: Etsy and Meeting Make
Craftopia is what someone called it while we were at the Etsy Labs last week in Brooklyn. And they weren't kidding. This place was a crafter's paradise. We hooked up this great interview with the Founder and met all the marketing heads. It was Etsy headquarters for real...and I was surprised that the whole shebang was run out of there. No matter where you looked something cool was happening. Corinne never wanted to leave! She did however score a ton of bottle caps that she made into this rad purse. I totally didn't think she was going to pull it off. But 2 days later, the girl made a handbag from the left over scraps of the Jimi Hendrix t-shirt and a bunch of old beer caps. Amazing. If you ever get down to Brooklyn check this place out.
I went straight to Etsy Labs right after the show and found something to buy in 4 seconds! I also have some great crafty friends that would love to sell their stuff on Etsy - I am sending them the link right now!

I just heard of this website/company/you guys thru a Youtube video recently, and *love* the site! Your stuff is so different and inventive - very cool!
I watched Episode 8 - at the end you said you are travelling to Pittsburgh!! That's my hometown, tho I currently am in the DC area. When do you go? If you get a chance while there, check out "The Beehive" in South Side; its a super funky coffee shop/cum board game parlour/hang out place, has been around forever.
