Hey You, Recycle This!

POSTED BY Kendra Cunningham, 27 December 2007

This fantastic UK website called How Can I recycle this? answers and discusses all the ways to recycle your favorite wornout items. Everything from old bras to old hair rollers can find some way to be reused or at least find a way into some post modern art project. And we know that just throwing away things you don't use is wasteful.... I mean, you're on the Threadbanger site and we're all about reusing old things to make new things!

Started by Louisa Parry and John Leach, Recyle This, began from a pile of empty pistachio shells. Just like egg cartons and empty spools of thread before them, pistachio shells screamed, "what a waste of a versatile and durable object!" and the savvy site was born. So...just to give a taste of the delicious reusable goodness....

How can I reuse or recycle.... joysticks and game pads?

This is an easy one..

1. Christmas Ornaments

2. Coat Hangars/ Wall Hooks

3. Geek Bling

4. Belt Buckle

5. Harmonica Case

Did I miss any? Note: you'll have to break it apart for the harmonica case, but it would be rad.

Recycle This also tells you how to reuse: jeans, back packs, burlap bags, plastic bottles, linolium, old tile, fur coats, tin foil, chopsticks, broken handles, dryer sheets, butter wrappers, cat litter, wire egg dippers, sponges, photo negatives, swim suits, and much much more...

recycle, green, reuse, How can I recycle this?, recycle this

Thanks, for the heads-up, Kendra! Wow...this is a really amazing site.

I added this to the thread of cool DIY links on the forum, too.
