This is great! I made a shorts pattern similar to this! it's on my blog if you want to have a look. (http://jltfk.blogspot.com/2011/07/how-to-sew-shorts-no2.html)
Hi! I was wondering why you take the waist measurement and not the hip measurement? After all, aren't boxers worn on the hip, not at the waist? Thanks :)
And I must be really blind because I don't even see sewing instructions anywhere. Where are you looking?

I agree with Maria, I can' seem to see the sewing instructions either. Are we both that blind?

I'm also in agreement, I'd really like to try this but can't seem to find the directions for sewing.

The inseam looked too short as I was making them, but it turned out fine on the finished product. Great, easy-to-make pattern!
Im reallly knew at this, and im trying to figure out how to attach the pieces, what does the las step represent, how does it attach itself to the first piece. thanks !
Aaron: it should be the same as the measurement in step 2. ie. if your waist is 32 inches you'd add 12, making it 44 then divide by 4 making it 11. 11 inches would be the measurement for the pattern piece. the plus 1 is for seam allowance. hope that makes sense.
I am very new to sewing, but I've always been attracted to it (especially for the DIY factor)--anyways my question: What does step 8 mean by (waist measurement +12, +4, +1) Am I to add that somehow to the original measurement? Thanks so much.
For you people; to sew this without the fly. Remove the said imaginary line for fly and add two inches to the size on that side. It worked amazingly for me.
okay, I know this a guy friendly pattern, but as a girl, I wouldn't mind making this for myself. And if you wanted these unmentionables to really be unmentionable, make it out of lace! same with the corset! thx
