Signs of Spring

Spring is finally springing, and I am nothing short of thrilled that not only is the weather warming up, but that things are quite literally blooming on the fashion blogs as well - in the form of nature-inspired headbands! The above photo is of a headband featured in an ensemble from a recent post at Face Hunter, and TeenVogue.com has a neat little online DIY for a flowered headband of a different sort by designer Erin Fetherston (you may remember it from last month's issue...). Whether you follow Fetherston's lead or chart your own DIY path, keep in mind that blossoms aren't the only inspiration for possible do it yourself projects (or purchases!) - both Style Bubble and Style Bytes have big love for Buddug's bird headbands. If you can pony up for international shipping (or get yourself to Brooklyn Collective, her only US stockist), Buddug's accessories are handcrafted and therefore a buy you can feel good about - support your (not-so) local artists!
What signs of Spring are inspiring your accessories right now - any other DIY headband ideas floating around out there??
