Remake Old Sweaters into Springy Cardigans!
Although the weather here in Portland doesn't feel quite like Spring yet, the flowers blooming on the trees have got me thinking about spring-ifying my wardrobe a bit. Cardigans are a must for this time of year, and with my small collection of thrift store sweaters purchased for refashioning, I started a web hunt for pullover-to-cardigan conversion project ideas. Well, the quest was indeed a success! As was my attempt at creating one of my own! Woo! Here are some of my favorite versions by online crafters:

Those are by Erica of erica makes stuff (with a fantastic tutorial!), anemone on livejournal, and Alli of One Pearl Button (also with a detailed tutorial, and an update here). And there are many more to be seen! So, with all this inspiration, I took my favorite elements from anemone's - the asymmetry and the crochet edging - and I decided to make mine buttontastic, just for fun. I couldn't be happier with my results:

So, now it's your turn to grab an old unloved sweater from your closet, or hit your favorite thrift store, and craft up your dream Spring cardigan!! And share your creations here, I'd love more inspiration!

love the red cardi...and thank goodness the weather is finally starting to spring up around here in the rose city!
Thanks for the lemon hair styling tip!
The chemical gel kills my hair and makes it fall out, but the lemon actually smells good and makes my hair shinier and lighter in color too! Thank you so much.
I would really appreciate it if you guys did more stuff that men can relate to, you guys are awesome, but there aren't really alot of 'guy' things on here when it comes to health/ etc.
Thanks!

ANOTHER IDEA...PUT YOUR SWEATER ON... AND PINCH AND PIN OF COURSE INTO A SCRUG TAKE OFF AND CUT OFF ACCESS AND SEW PINCHED PART...DECOR IT UP WITH BUTTONS OR BROACH .
Just when you think it cant get any better. It always does.
