Cassette Tape Wallet
Remember these things? If you were born in the late 80's, you may not have really ever used cassettes. Anyway, they were a staple when I was growing up. Fellow blogger, Chezlin made a really cool wallet out of one of her old cassettes. She even created a tutorial so all of you can make one! Head over to her blog for the complete tutorial.

Oh this would be a cool gift!
That is so rad, Lindsey! Great find. I miss mix tapes. How do you know who has a crush on you with MP3's?
Mixed playlists? Haha, just kidding.
Thats rad. how do you make it???
I tried this, and as wicked as the picture of it looks, it's actually really hard to put together. I ditched regular glue for hot glue, and that ended up being messier than my first try with the regular glue. It didn't end up working out at all really lol. If you want to try it, go ahead. But I wasted a lot of time trying to do it, so don't work too hard on it, cause it just might fall apart completely.
What was the regular glue that you used? I use E6000 to make them and it hold up pretty well (I've had that yellow one for over 10 months and it hasn't broken yet) You have to be really patient with the glue.. literally apply half an inch to an inch of it and hold the zipper to the tape for a few minutes.. if you don't give the glue time to dry then the zipper will come off and make you frustrated.. trust me, thats what happened with my first one.
Also, I stayed away from hot glue because I know how easily it pulls away from plastic.. so I figured it wouldn't be too great with this project
I did this but I used a Game Boy Color. It came out awesome, the only problem was that I used regular Elmer's glue, which was a HUGE mistake. It's one of those clear purple Game Boys, so you can see the gluey mess all over it. But it works and it looks really badass aside from that. Awesome tutorial!
