Project Threadbanger Winners
Our last Project Threadbanger contest just ended last week. and our winners are Spendthrift Sigh and Miss_Gagrin! Congrats!!
The challenge was to create something that can be worn on your head (ex. hats, barrettes, headbands) out of new or recycled material, not totaling over $7.00.
"So I made this lovely pill box hat! The frame is from a recycled pop/Diet Coke box, old poster board, and wire. The fabric was an old skirt that didn't fit, left over blue broadcloth from a school project, and some black elastic net lace. Basically everything came from the bin of materials accumulating in my room. This IS NOT GLUED TOGETHER, IT IS ENTIRELY SEWN! (wore it to school and people thought it was glued together, how degrading...)
Everything is hand sewn and the hat is beautifully lined with the blue broadcloth. It has one rockin' fit and is a lovely collaboration of vintage and my favorite fabric-tartan plaid!"

2nd Place Winner: Miss_Gagarin
"I love to twist my hair around a pick, so I made one out of fabric, modpodge, a chopstick and a wooden ball."
