Celebrity DIY Style: The Manbag
Remember the episode of Seinfeld where Jerry carried the "European Carry-All"? It only took 17 years, but it appears the Manbag has finally hit popularity - at least in Hollywood. Recently Robert Downey Jr. was spotted carrying the bag in the above photo (for the record, this is not the first time he's been photographed carrying something that looks strikingly similar to a purse, earlier in the year he was seen with this bag). The thing that I love most about this tote (aside from the fabulous fabric) is the shape. If you're looking to recreate this design, be sure to check out Amy Butler's Sophia Carry-All which is very similar in the overall shape and design. I recently made this pattern myself in a fun, Alexander Henry pin up print, but with a few tweeks to the fabric and embellishments, you could have yourself a very similar knock-off!
