    Okay I'm really sick. And just graduated. So film and reasonable good looks are out the window. Is it possible for me just to leave my tip right here?

    Here it goes anyway:::

    So I don't own...anything. I sew by hand and am very limited. I sewed a pillow for my dog last week. My tip for hand sewing? Take a peice of paper. But not just any kind. Use the kind you rip out with the holes on the side.

    Lay that across where you want to sew. Use the holes to guid your thread so that they are perfectly in sync. What's best about this is, when you're done just pull the paper away. the ripped edges will allow the thread to move away and not be attached to the paper.

    BTW if you do it very lightly you can add on bead w/ hooks through them. I get these off of old necklaces because they already have been hooked through.

    Anyway, that's my tip. Thanks!
