Worn Out: Street Style Picks
Hey guys! It's great to be back and posting after my summer vacation, and, without further ado, here are my top five street style picks from the last two weeks:

Both these women sport truly wearable looks with some really excellent details. The outfit on the left (from a June 18 post at Stilinberlin) is incredibly basic - I can imagine that black dress styled a million different ways - but the menswear touches of the brogues and briefcase turn her overall look into something special. I'm also really digging the absence of jewelry - the men's watch and simple belt are fuss-free accessories that look so clean. The outfit on the right (a June 13 post at Alta Mira NYC) includes menswear as well - I love the bowler hat - but her laid-back look is kept feminine by the inclusion of on-trend gladiator sandals and a tough-but-gorgeous necklace. I'm also a huge fan of white denim, and the fit of hers are enviable as all get out.

The look at left (from a June 21 post at Face Hunter) manages a sharp femininity that I'm dying to replicate from my own closet. Her slicked-back ponytail, chain bag, and leather accent belt work remarkably well with the conservative yet fashion-forward shape of her top - and, of course, I love the color and print. While the restraint is what makes the first look so sophisticated, it's the flowiness vs. structure of the second outfit (from a June 6 post at The President Wears Prada) that has the same effect. I'm so into the print and fullness of the skirt, and the top - actually a bustier - is an unexpectedly chic dose of bright-tempering black. Beautiful.

My very favorite street style photo of the last two weeks is from a June 22 post (scroll down for it) at Reykjavik Looks. The idea is bare bones - a dress, tights, and shoes, but the details of the individual parts make for such an intricate whole. I'm a fringe devotee and her dress just does it for me - and the fact that it matches her hair is an added bonus. The looseness and bunching of her stockings is certainly purposeful; come Fall I think we're going to be seeing a lot more of it. Together, the look just exudes a studied disheveled-ness that I find so appealing.
Worn Out will now be bi-weekly, so until next time be sure to leave both love and dissenting opinions in the comments section!
