Worn Out: Street Style Pics
Hey guys! Here are my five very favorite outfit snaps from the last two weeks of street style blogging - be sure to leave your thoughts, as always, in the comments section!

These women are at the exact OPPOSITE ends of the spectrum when it comes to hot weather dressing. At left (from a July 14 post at Face Hunter) is a prim and proper take on staying cool - the light cotton top and flowy skirt are dead ringers for something your classy Italian grandmother would sport all summer long, but the olive-and-screaming-pink color combination keep it fresh and youthful. And while the outfit on the right (from a July 7 post at StilinBerlin) could never be described as anything resembling "prim" or "proper," I'm fairly certain that in its pre-thrift store lifetime, her boxy sequinned jacket could only have belonged to a woman of a certain age. As a whole, her look is equal parts disco, casino, and beach club - and with 95 degree weather raging here in DC, I'm pretty sure it's the perfect outfit for a sweltering night out on the town.

These two looks I loved for appealing, respectively, to the here and now AND the later. At left is a photo from July 18 at the Refinery 29 blog Pipeline; the slip-as-dress, worn-in moccasins, and floral topper are all so incredibly of the moment that I can't help but be grateful that it's still summertime. The photo on the right, however, is an entirely different story. The subdued plaid, patent platforms, and sharp-as-nails leopard tights featured in a July 19 post at Style Bubble are giving me some longing for crisp weather and the chance to give into my mad layering tendencies. Oh, Fall 2008!

My favorite look from the last couple of weeks is perhaps the simplest - from a July 11 post at The Sartorialist, the outfit consists of a mere dress, sandals, and bag - but it's just so inherently lovely that I can't stop ogling it. I can't figure out whether it's the nautically fresh red, white, and robin's egg blue color combination in the dress or the toned-down, perfect for traversing the city metallic sandals and sturdy bag she paired it with, but it all comes off as unassuming and unpretentious and, for lack of a better term, EUROPEAN. So aspirational!

But i would have to say your favorite is indeed my favorite too. Her orange and white striped frock is lovely
the stocking in the forth pic are heaps cool! i'd love to know how to paint patterns of stocking or dye them or somethig like the one sold at my local craft market
I just found the best little shop in Greenwich Village called HOUSE de LUX. It's filled with funky fresh street style wear and i can't get enough! I recently bought a pair of gold detailed jeans this "FREE YOUR ASS" on the back pocket!!
i love the last one too, its so simple and cute! and i love the models they look really "this is who i am"-ish :)
