Celebrity DIY Style: YSL Tribute Bag
One of the 'it' bags of the season was the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute bag - sported by celebrities such as Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lindsay Lohan. This bag comes in a varitey of colors (blue, black, and magenta) as well as an embossed crocodile and embossed gold leather - the retail, $965-$1395! Now you can create your own version by using Hot Pattern's Metropolitan Homage Tote, Fabric Mart's designer Antique Bronze metallic goat skin, and a few tips on working with leather. If you haven't already guessed this one is currently sitting on my sewing table!

P.S. Would this bag look good if it were made out of satin that had been "stippled" like the Jared Gold tee a few episodes ago? I don't wear leather so it's always a challenge to find a stylish yet animal-friendly alternative to a leather bag!
