Weekly DIY Roundup: Fall Projects!
Fall is officially here, and with the start of October comes a flurry of autumny projects in the craft blog world. Some Halloween-themed, some just seasonal, I've found a bunch of cool ones from this first bit of the season to show you here - but keep watching those blogs, because I'm sure there will be many more in upcoming weeks!
Robyn of Craft & Found posted a free pattern for her Halloweenie Beanie Baby Hat, meant for donations to hospitals for "preemies and babes." Craft & Found is definitely a blog you'll want to stay tuned to, as Robyn is doing a "30 Days In October" series all month, with Etsy shop finds and Halloween project ideas!

This one isn't officially a Fall project, but I think scarfettes are a fantastic accessory for the season, and this one by resurrection fern is just gorgeous!

The purl bee blog has a full tutorial for Molly's apple picking tote - which of course could be used for things besides apples, but looks great for the autumn season regardless of what's inside!

Smarmyclothes on craftster made three amazing Halloween-inspired pieces of clothing, including this fabulous bleached skeleton dress!

Material Whirled has a free pattern for these adorable Candy Corn Hats:

Check out haha.nu's how-to for making maple leaves into roses - so cool!

Betz White, queen of felting, made these supercute little felted acorns to bring some autumn cheer to her home:

Create! blog posted a free pattern for crocheted Indian Corn, pretty!

Martha Stewart is always a master at seasonal projects, and she has some great autumn ideas, like leaf-printed linens, made with linoleum block carvings...

...and these foliage place mats, made with Ultrasuede fabric:

Also by Martha, check out these "Creepy Snakes" for Halloween!

Liquid Paper posted this PomPom Pumpkins project how-to, cute!

The Misadventures of Mama & Jack has this fun Halloween Bottle Brush Trees tutorial:

And lastly, this isn't a craft, but it's definitely autumny and it just looks so good I have to share! Pinch My Salt has a recipe for pumpkin spice cream cheese spread! Yummmm!

I hope your season if off to a good start, and if you're in a part of the world with minimal weather changing, or it just hasn't hit you yet, maybe these projects will bring you some Fall cheer! As usual, post your favorite projects that I missed in the comments, and share your creations in the forums!
