    A couple weekends ago (on the 12th) I got a chance to go to The Knit & Crochet Show put on by the Crochet Guild of America and The Knitting Guild Association, which happened to take place up the street from me here in Portland, OR. There was a vendor fashion show and lots of fun stuff to look at, so I'm bringing you my favorites things from the show in two parts - first the knitting, and then the crochet.

    Here's a really great tutorial by our own Threadbanger forum member Alsn on how to make a trendy Japanese jacket seen below (though I'm not sure that its ONLY limited to Japanese trends) from an old hoodie. I really loved this method and it's pretty simple!
