Thanks so much for th great video! It's cool to see how sketches are done by someone in the industry. I think I'll give it a whirl and hopefully they won't look like a kindergartener drew them.

I love how people do fashion sketches but I suck at them.Any tips?
There are as many styles of fashion sketching as there are designers. Some use nothing more than a blunt sharpie to scribble a few lines, some do fabulously detailed watercolor renderings. It depends on the designer. But almost all follow the standard nine-head-high figure as more details can be shown in the clothes...

It really isn't that hard to sketch out fashion figures, you can even draw a stick-figure...

i draw,mostly stuff like this.Also i have a cousin that just got out of fashion school and she is AMAZING at stuff like this.first tip of mine is ......never use a sharpie or pen!i you mess up you cant fix it so use a pencil first.if you want go over your drawing after its done .secondly, don color your drawing until you have made a copy of it again if you mess up you cant fix it

i love to use croqui when i make my designs  it helps me a lot . im still getting the hang of drawing them i think im getting very good at it though

I love to use this croqui. It isn't as cute, but it allows me to make the right shapes.

im not gay but i like to draw people and am into clothes!

Wow, that lady is so talented. I actually learned how to do fashion sketches when I was 8 years old by looking at my moms simplicity pattern envelopes. I love doing them and all you need is a pencil and paper.

i love this episode. the year after i graduate high school im going to either major in fashion design or interior design so i thought this sketch episode was amazing. i was wondering if yall could do an episode on how to make a tiny bedroom into a spacious organized room for such little space. thanks

i love using croquis.  very helpful.  but i didn't learn about them until recently.  i'm glad you opened that up.  good vid

Yeah, my school offered a fashion illustration class, but I didn't get it in time.  From what I've seen, croquis aren't that hard to do.

I still epically fail but not quite as much as before i had a croquis.

Well, even with a croquis I'm pretty fail, but it's nice to see that you don't really need anything approaching a realistic sense of shape or proportion when drawing for fashion ;)
