I am loving this tutu, but I think I made more work for myself. I needed something for an 80's costume, found this and thought 'hey that's perfect'. Next thing I know I am making a two coloured four layer version of this. Hopefully it will turn out as planned after all the work. Thanks for the tutorial though Threadbangers I would be lost without you. ^_^
just to let anyone know who is trying this project to gather things using 2 rows of basting stiches about 1/2" apart is so much easier for gathering. Just make sure to hold both thread ends when pulling.
That pumpkin looks straight NASTY!!! I would have thrown that at someone... maybe Rob? lol Jk! no offense its just he's so funny. Also what episode do you find the parts for the tutu?
OMG! I did something Just like this only I put it under a Kimono That I made myself. I'll send in pics soon just got a lot of homework. I wish a president would outlaw homework. Ugh!
(seems I can't login, well than like this ;) )
I am going fabric hunting tomorrow! (there's a big event around here with all kinds of fabric!!! hooray, 'cause there's no where in the neighborhood where you can find fabric :s)
okay, so a question,
how much tulle do I need to buy in total???
i got about 7 yards, but i'm sure you could do it with 6. i have so much tulle leftover!

ok i know you might not have made that sweater/shirt but i LOVE that off the shoulder sweater look like in mean girls when Ragina gets hit by a bus. Can you show me how to make one plz? (sorry for rambling)
It's very funny, because I had a victorian themed sweet sixteen on the twenty-seventh. My friend and I did basically the same thing, taking lots of tulle and sewing it onto a base skirt (which used to be a t-shirt.). It came out awesome, and seeing this tutorial made me just that little bit happy. :)
Alirght, my 3 step sibilings and myself are being forced to share bedrooms. :( *gahhh* Buuuut the only one i get along with is my brother Jordan. His mother and my father said that the only way we could do it is if there was a huge fabric divider. Help?!
Wow, I just finished watching every single episode. I love threadbangers. Now I have to wait for more episodes to come out, come on TB start making MORE episodes.
Can you show us a great tutorial on how to make a Candy Wrapper Purse with a zipper? I am a visual person and I can find a great easy to follow tutorial on how to fold and connect a Candy Wrapper Purse. I know if it is from Threadbangers it will be what I am looking for. Thanks for all the effort. P.S.
Here's a link to the most awesome bags i've seen...

i completely almost died when i saw this!! *screams like a anime fan-girl* i always wanted that pettiskirt that always beautifly decorates the background. thx so much!
Such a fantastic episode, Corinne! The tutu tut could be interpreted in so many fabulous ways. And could you be any cuter with that pumpkin? Don't think so.
Cute video! Definitely keeping that on my list. :) By the way, I was wondering if you could do a serger how-to guide. My grandma just gave me one of hers, and I've never used one before. It would be grand if you could teach the basics of a serger, such as how to adjust the tension, do the different types of serging (flatlock, etc), and anything else important about sergers. Thanks and love the show! So inspiring.
Phew...201 inches...How many times did you lose count while measuring? No wonder it took awhile. Meanwhile, I have a suggestion for two future episodes in December. Both inspired by two awesome movies coming out. Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Disney's return to full lenght 2d animated features, The Princess and the Frog. Both look so awesome and I challange you to do a few projects inspired by it.
can you guys please do a tutorial on how to make spider legs?? also maybe a tutorial on how to make them removable like wings, just spider legs. thanks!!
SO? Don't let that stop you, in making mistakes and mess is how we learn right?

Hey!!! this looks cool, would it be possible to do an early prom edition which gives some great advice on how to make badass accessories and possibly a DRESS!!
I love it!. I'm going for a "Sexy Mad Hatter" look myself witch with include a tutu :D - yours really helped - ;) I was wondering!?
if there was any possible way for me to make a sturdy top hat out of fabric?. Help please?! :) -Christin :]
You could always use cardboard as a base and put the fabric over top of it. You could use a tutorial like this http://idzit.deviantart.com/art/Top-Hat-Tutorial-1-81296461 to base your hat off of. Have fun :D

I can't log in for some reason but I love this project! I already made a tutu for my costume but it would have been alot easier having something to go by lol...it took forever but I am happy with it.
just out of curiosity, do you guys know how much tulle you would need if you didn't have a petticoat to destroy? i was thinking maybe about 7 yards, but i'm not sure.

6 yards is what you would need. That's 216 inches.

I love tutus, and this is going to be perfect for my halloween costume! Thanks a bunch. :)
Ahhh, I SO could have used this tutorial last Halloween, I was Old Gregg from the Mighty Boosh! I tried making a tutu and it was the biggest fail I've ever done. I was less than pleased with my tutu alternative :( This tutorial would have been perfect, it's the PERFECT shape!! Well done, thanks so much for finally doing a tutututorial ;D
I'm Old Greeeeg! I thought I was the onlyperson who would be prepared to dress up as Old Greg! Havemn't actually made the cosutme, but it'll be good for next Halloween-hopefully someone will have seen the Mighty Boosh
