:D! This is the best site i've ever stumbled upon!
I love this design! Can't wait to make my own, why stop at plaid? Skulls, hearts, snowflakes, stripes, rainbows...its endless! :D
I'm really interested in these cute "Balli Imports" fake cur animal hats with the attached paw mittens! I know this would be a fun task as well but can't find a pattern online! :( These are a great adorable way to stay warm this winter

go to thier youtube page (type: threadbanger.com into the browser, it should get you there). When you're there, type "bomber hat" into the "search channel" box at the upper right. The link is in the video description. It will let you download a folder to your computer. Open it, then open the folder "bomber hat pattern" inside the big folder. It's in 3 PDF files. When you print it, make sure it doesn't get weird and adjusted. Double check the measurments once you print. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much! I need to make an aviator cap for my 7-year-old and I think this will really help. Really like the to-the-point, clear style of your video!
This is amazing!
I used fake leather and fur, and didnt put on the peak and pompoms, and it's an old school aviator hat for a fancy dress costume!
Thanks threadbanger xx
Caron has a nice pattern for a crocheted hat -

I Really Hate Clothes Shopping And Feel Good When I Wear Something I Have Made So Could You Do So More Guys Fashion Like Tee's And Stuff Thanks 'Snip' 'Snip' 'Snip'
made one out of some left over fabric. some amazing black lime green pink and blue plaid, with black velvet on the inside. added some to the bottom and a stripe on the top side seams, since the hat was a bit small for my head, but it turned out really really great!
Mine turned out great (used purple and black plaid and dark grey fur). It is on the short side, though, for my taste. I suppose the bottom strip could be thickened to one's preference... the ear flaps could go on forEVER! :)
I started making this and it is turning out pretty well. However, the fur that I used (because it was 50% off at Hancock Fabric) has a suede back and is really hard to work with. Other than that this is great! Thanks for the tutorial.
KEEP THE MEN'S FASHION COMING!!
Hi! I love this project. Thanks so much for posting the pattern in the forums! One question...how do I access the tutorial that Spirou55 sent in to crochet the strings and pom-poms? I figured out how to crochet a daisy chain. My first hat I cheated and bought pom-poms in black, but I can't find pre-made ones in the color I need for the 2nd hat I am making. If anyone knows how to access that tutorial? Pleeease? These hats are so awesome and fun! : )
I just finished making my hat and it's awesome! This was my first thread banger project and i was so surprised that i actually did it! I didn't have a sewing machine so i had to do it all by hand. It was a lot of work and my dad didn't think i could do it. I proved him wrong!
Great tutorial! I've made hats before, but they never really turned out. This one worked really well. I used red and white polka dot fabric for the outside, to match the lining for the coat I'm making.
So I made one for my friend as a gift & one for me. Everyone I show it too. Loves it. Now I have people practically ordering them. Thanks, its soo easy, quick and fun.
Im trying to make some last minute christmas gifts for the 5 brothers, love how you used an old flannel shirt, we have tons of those just laying around. keep the guy ideas comin..
Its an awesome bomber hat, but I can't figure out the math for a head that is 17 and 1/2 inches around, for my baby sister. You don't explain in the video how you get the sizes for all the other parts of the hat except for the circle please give me the math behind it, I love the hats :D really want one
I cannot understand the math part, he goes way too fast, I don't think it is explained very clearly. I would love to make this hat but I don't understand which math part he is talking about goes with which piece of the hat. Please help=0)
hey...you can just download the pattern here. The math behind it all was a little too much to put in the episode.

thanks a ton for this tutorial! my cousin and i were shopping yesterday, and these hats were EVERYWHERE... she kept saying that they were calling to her. so guess what her Christmas present is going to be? :D
the center piece should be half the head circumference - so for you that would be half of 25 (if you're adding the 2" to your 23.) The side flaps will be the total when you add the diameter of both circle halves plus the width of the back center piece. Got that? ;)

hey guys and gals at threadbanger i have been away for a bit but im back and wow what a show to come back to totally dig the hat and here a while back I was thinking i wanted a bomber hat for my walk abouts. I walk everywere I go around my small town and yet I am twisted so this hat would be a kick to wear and already have the stuff to make it. took a break from sewing and went to workin on my other hobby----lamps out of cedar. need to set up a online store somewere i think lol. take care and happy holidays to you all and keep up the great work you all are doing for I do think you are pushing this country in a direction I very much like reuse reuse reuse. i have cloths from when i was a teenager and yep i have used some of them in my projects lol so reused and worn.
Here is a good tip. When you cut fur, don't cut through the actual fur. Flip it over (fur side down) and only let your scissors or blade cut through the fabric or leather if using real fur. Then pull it apart. This way when you comb the fur out of the seams, you dont have any cut fur and all the long hairs remain.
*I want to say something here that might make some people upset but I feel it needs to be said. After seeing the clip and seeing that he is using fake fur, I want to point out that fake fur is not vegan at all, it is actually VERY polluting to manufacture. Real furs can be naturally tanned and is sustainable and biodegradable. I am mentioning this only because a lot of people think fake fur is ok when in fact, most of it's a nightmare.
Vegan just means it doesn't contain any animal-derived products. Fake fur, if made of completely non-animal origins, is Vegan, but you probably mean it's not environmentally-friendly.

i will say fake fur is not the best product and if you want true warmth there is nothing better than a true fur coat. fur was the only thing that kept our ansesters alive in the old days and we still have not come up with anything better for the bitter cold. I live in cold country and now alot about how to stay warm in the coldest temps. real fur harvested right is not a bad thing. china tho needs to stop doing mass killing for fur that sucks
remember this when it does not come out right just count to 10 and then rip the stitches back out and start over.. I am learning also and my name come about for I am very good at rippin stitches back out lol. keep being inspired by this site. and dont give up it takes time to learn and become good at but in the end so rewarding.
I think this just took care of my dads christmas gift XD (my dad was a peace keeper in the airforce so this would be an awesome gift!)now I can make a beret and a bomber hat! (my two fav kind of hats)
Could you guys please make a winter hat with cat ears before X-Mas? My best friend who lives many states away requested I make her one-- I was going to wing it, but I would love to have a little bit of help! Thanks!
There's actually some great ones I used last year from deviantART:

Dressing up dogs is just wrong.

To Disgusted like Whoa: Putting dogs in horrid tutu-like obnoxious uncomfortable costumes (and other such things) is just wrong. but for small dogs particularly, a practical sweater for warmth can be beneficial. :]
