did you glue it to the correct side? j/k I'm sure it depends on what type of player you are using because of difference in spindle design. a portable boombox usually has a higher center than your laptop's disc drive. You may need to punch through the middle in the case of a portable boombox

Great idea! I've actually thought about this for awhile, for DVD's and such. But I've been afraid of using Elmers glue and having some horrible accident when I put it in my computer or DVD player. (Like, can anything happen over time with the glue and the heat from computer/CD players?) Just curious.
Someone should submit a DIY CD case next. :)
Yeah, chill, guys. Many people burn backup copies of CDs they've bought legally. Also, some people buy music online and burn them to CDs for their cars. She's not saying it's OK to steal music, she's just showing people how to make their boring (and legal) burned CDs look better.
Great tutorial, Annie!
wow, sucks that you have to take all the naggers- don't worry, i think it's only unfortunate timing :o)
so, hopefully i'll do a better job in providing useful feedback:
i really like gathering ideas for quick and simple projects. especially, if they allow me to re/up- cycle material. great input - thanks a lot!
however, i found the title a bit misleading- i was expecting a how-to on the construction of an organizing container or something.
i don't mind, if this contest thing goes on for a while. i think it's awesome to see, what people come up with!
i thought this too.... its uhmmmm simple. but hey! not a bad idea and creative anyways

Yeaah, encouraging pirated material!! Right on!! If Meg, Corrine, and Rob don't come back soon I'll go mad
Well if you don't like it, don't watch it, I for one am enjoying all the contest entries

It might not be pirated music. I burn copies of all the cd's I own and put the burned copies in my car, that way the originals don't get messed up or stolen (i found out the hard way how much it sucks to have your entire cd collection stolen) So, don't assume it's pirated just because someone says burned...

Before I got my mp3 player, I used to make "mixed discs" of favorite songs from C.D.s I owned to play in my Walkman. Oh, the good old days....
But yes, backups are wonderful. There are actual provisions in copyright laws that allow you to make copies for personal use if you already own the material so backups are perfectly legal.
