I love this purse! I made it but I think I'm going to cover up the sides where it shows the width of my strips with some of my lining fabric;) Its awesome and it turned out great!Wonderful tutorial;)
Love the purse and I can't wait to make one. I can see colored jeans and tie dying before the fringes for lots of great looks. I wonder if the fringe frays or if you did something to it like "fray stop"?
Your project was a great way to recycle your old jeans. I was wondering if it would be easier to cut your fringes AFTER you sew your purse together. Then, they would be less likely to get in the way while you are assembling & sewing the purse. Thanks for sharing your project.
This is such an awesome tutorial and I love love love the finished bag! Pity about your camera. I will def be making this soon! thanks Jessica for a great tutorial
It looks really great!! I really like how you constructed the purse. A little tip for sewing in a pocket on the lining, I always sew my pocket on as my first step when my lining fabric is still in two pieces. Then I go ahead and finish the rest of the steps to make my purse. You did a great job and a nice tutorial.
Great job. i myself make handmade purses also from many different fabrics and old shirts or sweaters they turned out awsome the more you make the better you get.. just practice and use your imagination its so much fun...And for your frindge purse just make sure you pin the pocket on the lining part fisrt and then continue much easier....If you want i will send you some pictures if you want to see them THANKS!
